This is a picture of my Colt Trooper Mark III. The trigger is great, and it shoots like a dream. If you have a Colt Mark III, I'd like to see a picture. (I also posted this in our sister forum.) BTW, I just recentlly purchased this gun.
I'd like to find a good 22 magnum revolver with a 3" barrel. I've looked at Charter and Taurus but most offerings are either 1" or 4". Is there anything out there for under $400 that fits my criteria? If not, I'll probably get either the 2" or 4" Charter.
Well I just bought a new Springfield XDM 45 ACP. I swore I was done with 45ACP, but then I saw this beauty. Everything about this gun impresses me. I can't wait to get it out to the Range. If you have one, how do you like it. I haven't been this excited about a gun for a long time.
Well, I went and did it. I traded my Ruger New Model Blackhawk 357/38 Special/9mm convertable (the one with the beautiful rosewood handles) plus 2 leather and 1 nylon holsters, and three boxes of 300 WSM 180 grain, plus a new box or 38 special for a Rossi 357 2" blued snub.
How did I do?
Does anyone have a Stoeger Cougar in 45 ACP? I see they've started offering that gun in that caliber. I think I'll buy one, but would like some feedback. BTW, I had a Cougar in 9MM, but gifted it to one of my favorite sons. :)

I have several Ruger revolvers that I had a question about; so I emailed ruger. Here is the question and also the answer from Ruger:
I don't have this issue with my S&Ws or Colt Trooper.
This is relevant to us here, because hunting is next on the agenda.

I just installed my first Tasco Red Dot scope on my new Marlin 60. It seems really cool and I can't wait to go sight it in. I disassembled and cleaned the gun today in anticipation of getting out to shoot, but the weather is crumby today. So, I guess it'll have to wait a day or two. Do any...
Today I bought and installed a Bushnell Trophy Riflescope 3-9x40mm, DOA 600. It has the mil-dots and it also allows one to judge the range by hash marks on the distance lines based on the distance from ear tip to ear tip on a mule deer or whitetail deer. I was very impressed with it and my...
Today I put a new CZ 452 .22 LR Special Military Training rifle on layaway. I thought the price was right and it is a beautiful rifle. Does anyone have one of these? How do you like it? Here's what it looks like:
I'm curious about the durability of the take down mechanism on the Stoeger Cougar and Beretta semi-auto pistols. Here is a picture in which I have circled the part (in red) that I am talking about.
On the Stoeger Cougar I owned I was worried that it (the part in the red circle above)...
Well I did it. I sold my S&W Sigma and my Ruger 22/45 and bought a CZ 75 BD. I am so EXCITED to get this puppy to the range tomorrow. And, I just ordered two additional 16 round mags for it. Anything I should be aware of. I just cleaned and lubed it good before I take it out tomorrow.
Has anyone decided to buy a new Redfield scope. They are going to be manufactured by Leupold.

I'm thinking of changing out several of my scopes for new Redfields.
I found some hunting pictures that were taken back in the seventies. In this first picture my oldest son (he's 37 now) is pictured holding this little two point's head up. Notice where I hit him with the arrow. I was using a Jennings Split-T bow.
This picture is of the same deer later...
I just installed Hogue Grips on my P89, and am happy as heck. Have any of the rest of you installed them on your P89? They fit very well, are easy to install and feel great. They fit these models: Ruger P85, P89, P90 or P91...
