Original question: "Does Double Tap ammo live up to its advertised FPS ratings, as given on the box"
Wildcat's continued rant: "Buffalo Bore HPs don't expand"
Just give it up already if you can't stay on topic. I know the OP listed several other brands in the post, but the question was...
The last time I went to the indoor range, which permits rifles up to .223, I lost probably 20 minutes of range time due to feeling unsafe next to the people one lane over.
I was on lane 3, and there were two middle aged women, one young woman, and one young guy in his 20's occupying lanes 4 and...
Given the context, this is the definition of counterpart that would appear to be appropriate:
a person or thing closely resembling another, especially in function: Our president is the counterpart of your prime minister.
Which is exactly correct, as pointed out previously. Before we have...
From the original post:
It sounds to me like he asked about the mags before making the purchase, not as an afterthought. Unfortunately, nobody checked the box until after the purchase was completed, which is why a refund was required.
If the OP had not been told that 2 magazines were included from the beginning, your accusation might make sense. If he had gone in and asked, "If I buy this gun can you guys throw in an extra mag for free?", then your accusation might make sense.
Since his expectation appears to have been only...

A couple advantages of shooting with both eyes open is in the muscle relief it provides and depth perception. You can still get these benefits if you mask a small portion of...
If it wasn't available and they had to order from somewhere else at a higher cost, then they should have contacted the buyer BEFORE ordering to make sure that he was okay with the price change, or eat the difference. Any change to the quoted price should be communicated before you reach the...
+1 Gunny
The lame drama does wear many people out, but it serves a purpose. It appeals to a lot of people who may not already have much experience with guns or shooting. Getting more people interested benefits all of us, except maybe at the ammo shelf.
Personally, I could never stand to watch...
The entire problem could have been avoided if the gunstore employee had acknowledged that he wasn't sure how many magazines were included, and then actually checked to see before ringing the sale. Or the shop could even include specific information on the tags hanging from the trigger guard.
Some people get entirely too wrapped up in semantics. Changing the name of the practice doesn't impart any more or less safety to it.
Since I rarely talk to myself out loud anymore, I don't announce , "I think I'll do some dry fire practice now." I just clear the firearm and do it.
Maybe the motivating factor is not wanting to have $400+ tied up in a gun that will hopefully never get fired after familiarization. Or if the unfortunate day comes when it must be fired, having it gather dust in an evidence locker.
While cheap pump guns like the Mav88 may not be a top choice...

I was taught that it's more stable to hold your breath at the mid-exhale point than at either full exhale or inhale. It seems to have always worked for me.
