Trapping hogs was a long learning curve for me. Had too many big hogs tear up my portable traps. My newer traps have pig panel reinforced with 3/4 inch sucker rod. 300 pound hogs stay in those traps.
One of my RHKP Model 10s was purchased at the Lawton Gibsons store just before the China takeover of Hong Kong. The other was bought years later.
i often openly pack a Model 10 when out in the bush.
Finally found a photo of the revolver bought at Gibsons:

Best way to keep hogs away from feeders: Fence the feeder using hog panels.
Hog panels are 34 inches tall and 16 feet long.
Put posts 5 feet apart. Cut the panel down to 28 inches in a couple spans so the fawns can get over. One of my fenced feeders:

i like to creep, slide and crawl up then put a round ball in the hogs ear; just like Great Grand Dad Squire did.
There are meat from two wild hogs in our freezers. The huge chops are from a 250 pound sow. The sausage and ground pork came from a 160 pound sow.

For many years i used cheap scopes on my .50 and .54 inline muzzleloaders. Recently dejunked the attic. There was a box that contained 10 or 12 trashed Simmons and Bushnell scopes. About 15 years ago i began outfitting my inline rifles with better quality scopes. My .50 Encore wears a...
Your muzzleloader don't need a "muzzleloader" scope. Leupold makes a six power scope that works well on inline muzzleloaders.
My muzzleloaders are also used almost exclusively during deer gun season and holiday doe season. There are four scoped inline rifles in my possession along with...
