I use varget (expensive I know but it does everything for me currently, other than unique as well) I also use TAC which I got a smoking deal on (no pun intended) I use that in everything as well, put varget aside for a bit.
All work GREAT for me.. which TAC is a very good deal going on these...
(.223 for scale)
What you can do at 100 yards with a good load..
However I do realize that 10gr of unique isn't going to push the bullet very far at all.
My point is that if you find a good load with your gun, it can hit targets consistently to an distance.
As for hunting, no more than 150...
I should have mentioned that my RCBS dies do NOT have a crimp.. or I'm completely missing it -- I have 3 dies, one sizing, one belling/deprimer, and seater.
I picked up these dies from a older gentlemen they are the older RCBS dies, they come in the boxes with the "t" closures, not the snap...
I'm in need of a crimp for my .44 loads and I'm not sure of what I should get these days there's quite a bit of a selection.
I was just going to go with a lee FCD and be done but I'm just curious what's the input on that.
10/22 trigger, when worked on.. = GLASS.
or a drop-in kit, done.. well worth it, IMO.. As u can tell I'm a fan of 10/22's.
I've had marlin 60's and the such but they seem to come and go but the rugers stay.
I have that exact same springer and it IS an accurate one -
I hold mine at the end of the fore stock and just kind of push it into my shoulder and it works out great for me..
Crosman premier pellets do well.
I'm odd though - I shoot wonderfully with clays with full chokes..
I do have a mossberg 500a with fixed modified and it's fine with me. I do want "modularity".
oneounceload -- no tubes, sorry for the mistake there.
oneounceload -- yep I agree, I really like how they handle, I have no opposition aganist the 505 either, but no 500s though -- no chokes.
685 looks good too but bit pricey..
ArmedBear -- I will check that one out thanks.
Dale -- Yeah I'm really bummed over it, still.
