    1911 Slide lock funtion

It is a slide stop, not a slide release. I was taught to release the slide using the two-handed slingshot grip.

Whites need to become more like Mexicans!

Maybe people with health insurance get diagnosed at a higher rate than those who don't. Psychiatrists don't get paid to treat well people, after all. Regards.

    Crimson Trace Overmolded vs. Standard

I have owned both. The overmolded would be much harder to conceal, IMHO.

Crimson Trace Mistake?--Put it on my 642

The same thing happened when I put a pair on my 649. Needed to change to a nice, smooth squeeze. Also, allow for the "staging" of the trigger (First click pulls hammer back, second click locks hammer, third click makes hammer fall.) Regards.

    .22 Magnum Effectiveness?????

I never heard of anyone seriously using them for anything bigger than a coyote. 22 Mag is actually a pretty hard-hitting little bullet though, IMHO. Accurate and quiet too. Regards.

    California - Here's your guy

Yes. Too true. It is a pity that Arnold won't back out of the race and endorse a real leader.

    Possum invasion!

I have the same problem The possums eat my pond fish. Pellet gun won't do the job. I use CCI CB longs in a Marlin 39A. Neck shots work the best. They poop when you shoot them, too.

Henry Golden Boy in .22 -- anyone got one?

Doug444 is right I own both as well. Henry Goldenboy is much smoother and better trigger, but has aluminum receiver. Marlin 39A not as smooth until well broke-in and the new triggers are sucky, but all-steel and built like a tank.

    Crimson Trace LaserGrips in Iraq

If that's not an endorsement I don't know what is. They ought to come standard issue. I own two pair, one for my house gun (Springfield Mil Spec) and one for my wife's house gun (S&W 649). Been thinking of getting a third pair for my carry .45, a Colt Officers model. SSG Sieler may have...

M1A Paintchip Stock--Uglier than Average Wear?

I got a nice G.I. stock from Fred's and refinished it. Saves stripping the old stock and you can get a nice tight receiver fit.
