I checked one out today at Dunham's Sporting Goods, $449.95. I thought it was somewhat high, I was expecting $400 or a little less. No salesperson in sporting goods so I didn't get to handle it, typical for Dunham's.
I'm considering a Taurus 605 Defender 357 Magnum w/3 inch barrel. I've heard good things about them one of which is it has a pretty good, light, double action trigger pull, actually better than S&W or Ruger's. Anyone own one of these or had any experience with them? Feedback will be appreciated.
I have a Mossberg 500A Tactical and a Stevens 320 Security (w/Pistol grip), both pump actions, cycling the actions shouldn't be an issue but it is my main concern.

Yeah, mine is 1st gen (hammer) too. I just don't like the trigger pull on it, too long & stiff. I was thinking I'd probably get $150, maybe $175 if I'm lucky.
Crimp jump on the LCRx threw up a red flag to me as well. I've heard pros & cons on both sides of this issue. Pro's say, try a variety of different ammo brands to correct the problem. Con's say, It's too much of a risk to chance in a personal defense weapon.
