I'd look at the Savage Hog Hunter as well, pretty sure it comes in .223

Go and fondle a bunch of them and see what you like. The 26 is a great gun but there are others, Springfield XD, S&W M&P.
I can't figure out if I need the large or the small decapping pins for a 38 special die set.
