I agree, if it can't do better than an inch at 16 yards, it's not much of a rifle. I don't set out to make very long shots especially on game animals but have made a few on stuff that just needed to be gone.
The sweet spot for a .22, on a pig, is small enough, I have only made 1 attempt at any...
I enjoy hip and point shooting myself but most of the things I have killed, I aimed at.
I suggest some form of competitive shooting, the timer and scores generally highlight what gear is advantageous. Why red dots are generally in a different class and there is no "point shooting" classes that...
That's a good sign.
Our eyes don't have an unlimited focal length, so as the distance to objects change our focus on them does too.
Will get worse with age as well.
Red dot sights solve the issue, providing a focused aim point as well as intended target. It would be clearer if this photo...
Once thermals became affordable NVD's lost almost all of my attention. One is much more like cheating than the other and I like having advantages over things I intend to kill.
Even if I did go back, I'd still want a hand held thermal for locating stuff thats warm. I've been impressed with...
I do not chamfer or deburr 9mm and even load coated bullets with very little flare, with some seaters.
The GSI feed/seat die keeps them straight enough, this is a case with bullet seated, ready for crimp and one behind it ready for one to be seated.
You need aa seating stem that keeps the...
I own a couple case pro roll sizers but the case in the OP is ready for the scrap bin. I'm not sure how many glocks I own but none of them bulge brass as bad as some of our SMG's and they don't do that to brass.
If you have rainbow trajectories it allows you to dial in elevation vs holding over as ranges extend, like this.

That .22 in #37 is zeroed at 100 because thats where I was playing last. .22's drop like that subsonic 458 load above at 300 yards, ~13...
Do you want to spend 2 hours on a turret press enjoying your new hobby or 18 min on a decked out progressive?
24 hours vs 3.6 for the year. Don't forget that is just loading time and there are other steps in there, breaks one might take, if it's taking forever...
I have been shooting dots on my open pistols for years but the newer slide mounted ones ease the acquisition issues vs irons. The older your eyes get the more difference they make.
Yeah but where is the fun in that?
I say it's a problem in need of another rifle, a 6.5 Grendel should be perfect for the job, unless you want the jugs so close, you get wet.
My Friend lost an arm, years ago in a logging accident, his dominant arm at the time. We shot IDPA together and he placed up with the better SS - low EX with a .45 1911 and little lower down the list in 3 gun but all with only one hand.
This is him, on two Texas stars, one day when the match...
Thats actually the first thing I noticed in the first photo of your thread. I thought about it shooting last night and realized I was shooting the CZ because its slower than my Clark custom 10/22, not more accurate.
Simply don't have time to burn up as much ammo.
