Depends on the trigger.
I have several Taurus revolvers with not very good triggers. I am less accurate firing those in DA than SA.
I have several S&W revolvers with excellent triggers. I am acceptably accurate with those when firing double action.
Tip down, so if I stick my hand in my pocket I don't get surprised by a half-open knife.
My preference is for assisted-opening knives with pocket clips. Without those restrictions I don't suppose I would worry about it much.
Fixed it.
At one time in the past, lots of people carried guns illegally and were most concerned with concealability so that they wouldn't be discovered. A few of my great uncles would never go anywhere without a 38 revolver in their pockets, but it wasn't legal at the time so they all chose 2"...
I prefer to buy what I like rather than buying something and hoping I can make it into what I like. I don't necessarily love Glock triggers but they're fine as striker fired go. I do own a pretty big pile of Glocks. I have a Walther P99 that I loath the trigger on. All my Taurus revolvers have...
You're playing this weird game we all play where none of us really wants the box, but somebody else might so we better hang on to it for the hypothetical future buyer. Not sure if I'll be able to sell this Glock if I don't have the box.
Weirdly like comic books and baseball cards, boxes have...
Safety is always the reason for restrictions.
You're literally advocating taking guns away from people and disabling them for "safety".
Being in the same room as someone who has a gun is not "close to death".
The safest gun in the world is the one that stays holstered. Holstered guns are...
All I'm saying is that there is more to the value equation than component cost. If you enjoy it, that adds value. If you don't, there should be no shame in just buying your ammunition and shooting less.
Obviously most everyone in the reloading forum enjoys reloading. But people also come here...
I buy a lot of factory ammunition because I value my time. I would rather not shoot than spend my precious hours slaving away at the reloading press to try and save a few pennies.
If you're not determined to shoot a certain number of rounds it might be much better to buy one box of 44 magnum...
When I put in a conversion barrel it made the ejection pattern very erratic. Some cases flew off into the woods 20 feet away, some hit me in the head, some went straight up, never the same place twice. I have heard that if I switched out the extractor that would get better, but I never bothered...
I know the OP is moving himself but in case anyone else is reading this later, please don't conceal things like this from your movers. You're setting them up to get in a lot of trouble if there is a problem later on.
