My TSO trigger is easily on par with my semi-custom 1911s. So I don't think it's going to be on my "need" list. I love the 1911 platform and think this offering is aimed at more mature ( read old guys ) competitive shooters. Funny thing is a great competition gun also makes a great range gun. To...
Went once as I usually shot that range weekly. When I I got to the shoot I saw a ge mini gun offered to anyone foolish enough to spend $75.00. I shot the thing since in Viet Nam I never got the opportunity. In a way, I'm glad I never did.
If a guy can ( I'm retired) save up the bucks the Tactical Sport Orange it is a great pistol. I wanted a good 9mm so the money I'd saved for another. 45 got spent on the TSO. I don't regret it. Great trigger, good fit/finish and the most accurate firearm I own.
I use a Cap 1 with 1 1/2% back from any purchase. May not be the best, but works OK for me. Yes, I would change if something demonstrably better from a reliable company was presented.
At 73 I have never met ( or no one has confessed) anyone that cleans their firearms without unloading them. I always thought the "cleaner" was covering for something more embarrassing or sinister.
My dad brought me up respecting firearms with emphasis on Firearms safety. On a dove hunt in Springtown Tx in 1960 we had endured most of the day without seeing a single bird. About an hour before sundown a the single bird drifts in and settles on a power line. In total desperation dad began...
For an old guy the .45 ACP is the easiest for me to load. Larger case, easier to see and can be loaded bullseye light or SD spicey. Tons of tried and true recipes to experiment with. Accuracy without struggle. My fav.
My dad lived on a small tx lake which was considered "country". At age 7 he got me a Crossman Co2 rifle in 177 cal. He would regularly stop on the way home from work to pick up pellets and power cartridges. I was trained to insure my target was safe and enjoyed that rifle for several years...
Maybe a good move. However I have had to get fresh parts for my 24 yr. old 550. I now have a a couple of 650s added to my 550. I currently have an issue with a 650 priming system, seemingly, caused by an out of spec primer. It jammed the disc and I bent the primer advance arm. I know, ignorance...
Thanks for a logicly presented ( I think ), path to improvement. I've thrown way too much downrange fighting this very issue. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. I discovered if I'm seeing the muzzle flash then my groups decrease in size dramatically. At my age, as soon as I conquer one of...
I watched an AM tv show that the lady bringing the suit stated, " I don't blame the shooter." I'll never understand the logic. I guess it's ok to purchase anything legally, take the purchased item and use it criminally then blame the item and it's manufacturer. Based on this logic there...
