Don't get a Glock for your first gun. There are so many guns that shoot better at the range.
I have a Glock 34 IDPA gun that I shot IDPA with but there are so many guns that are more
accurate at slow aimed fire. For instance any good smith revolver in .38 Special or .357. You
can shoot .38...
Ruger number 1 gets a rap for poor accuracy. I have one in .223 took it to a gunsmith before
I even shot it. For not a lot of money he did the trigger and accurized it a little. On good days
it will do three shots into a 1/2 inch at a 100 Yds.

A 4 inch model 19 is for the guy that can only have one pistol. It is a .357 but will shoot loose
if you shoot a real lot of magnums out of it. It will shoot .38 specials until the cows come home.
One of the finest carry revolvers ever made. Don't know why Smith don't make them anymore.

I'm with Tomrkba. The .44 Special is a fine cartridge and can be used in the .44 Magnum.
If you want magnum power just load it up with the Magnum cartridge. The .44 and the .41
aren't that far apart in recoil as far as I can tell. I had both and sold the .41 now I have a
few .44 magnums which I...
I guess it's original intent was to shoot a round out of the AR that will work
well with a silencer. It seems like a fun round and pretty accurate at shorter
ranges. If you like it why not give it a whirl?
Zeke
I have been shooting for many years, and some of the best combat style shooters I have
seen are the guys that shoot IDPA. I know IDPA is just a game and not actual combat as
taught to police, but some of the shooters I was privileged to shoot with were really good.
They set up all sorts of...
I fell out of my nephew's home built wooden tree stand. I thought I died. There
are so many bad tree stand stories. It pay's to listen to the guys that talk tree
stand safety.

There is a story about a barber in New Jersey. Some "perp" came in his barber shop and
held him up with a .25 auto. The barber told him to "beat it". The "perp" emptied his magazine
into the barber. The barber beat on the "perp" until he almost killed him. The barber healed
up nicely. The...
First thing you have to look for is land that you can trap on without trespassing. There is a magazine
called "Fur Fish & Game" it's pretty much a trapper's magazine. Lots of articles on trapping plenty of
tips and tons of places to buy trapping equipment. You will need a book or two to show you...
I have a CW9 it is light and very easy to carry. I would like a better trigger and
you have to realize that the slide on these guns rubs across plastic not steel.
I would think that after a while the plastic would start to wear. I don't shoot mine
much for that reason.

I shot a lot of silhouette in the old days. I started out with a Smith 8" .44 Magnum.
K Bob is right about sighting in starting from the bottom. Then record the amount
of clicks you used. Keep the book with you when you go to shoot. Load the same
ammo you sighted in with. Easy Peasy, if you...
I here a lot of guys say the xxx caliber is too much gun. I have a lot of guns and I've shot deer
with everything. Mostly shotguns with buckshot or slugs because of State laws. I have also
shot quite a few deer with the .338. When I walk over to them they are generally dead. They
are never too...
I just paid 1300 at Cabela's for a nice lightning field grade. I think for
around a 1000 you can get your money back or close to it. They are
nice solid guns from the old school.

Look into a Marlin lever action gun in .35 Remington caliber. You will not be sorry.
It's got plenty of power and you can mount a scope on it very easily because it is
a side ejection rifle. If you want to unload it quickly just put one cartridge in the chamber.
a quick flip of the lever will...
A friend and myself bought a Lyman C-press for 9 dollars. We bought a manual
or two and were really surprised at how easy it was to reload rifle cartridges.

Wear your everyday clothing and put the holster on the outside. Then as the last
article of clothing use a vest, a sports jacket or a shirt outside the pants.
