So my post was deleted by a moderator, stating as follows:

We'll I've got news for this moderator. My opinions have plenty of "backup" - I practiced law for 19 years - did you? This is absolutely absurdity. If this moderator...
OK, I know next to nothing about commercially-available cans.
Is there a hefty / overbuilt 9mm, .45, or other, somewhat budgety can, that could be used for all of the following:
-AR15 in 5.56 shooting ONLY subsonic 75 grainers
-T/C Contender .357 Max shooting ONLY subsonic 230 grainers

Have some 75 HPBT Hornady match bullets, and a pound of Titegroup. Want to get 1050-1075 fps with acceptable accuracy, from a 1 in 8 AR15. What's my starting point to work up from?
Well, get the best your budget allows, which in the current lineup means the VX-3i in 3.5-10x40mm, or 3.5-10x50mm.

Yeah, uncovered and non-locking turrets are one of many things in a long line of gimmicky features that sell products...
Oh right. Well, I don't know - my guess would be the cheapest kind of solder possible, for a Turk-made gun, but I could be wrong. Good question - just how strong is each kind?
First off, this imminent ban you mean would come from BATFE regs, not Congress, correct? Why do we think such a thing is imminent? Would it include binary triggers? I'll give up my Echo II when..... (you know the rest).
Adding them to AOWs with only a $5 stamp wouldn't be too bad, but could...

Very good point. One other advantage of the scout I hadn't thought of. But where can you get both high-end and IER? How *much* better do high end scopes battle fogging, as compared to something in the $200-$500...
Actually on 2nd thought, this vent rib must just be epoxied on since there are no visible screws and I don't know how else it could be put on. Think I'll take the scope off in that case. No way that epoxy could hold up forever to those forces (2 oz turkey loads).
I don't shoot this shotgun very much (just a shot or two at turkeys each spring, if that), but the more I look at it, the more I think I might have made a mistake here.
Mounted the scope up with a mount for a Taurus Raging bull revolver, clamped onto the vent rib.
But under recoil, that's...
I want to point out two things with respect to sights ... scopes can fog, of course, without any rain at all - just the cold temp outside and the warmer air inside the scope can do it - which is one reason to leave your rifle outside when you sleep before the hunt. But fogging is worse the more...
With very-strict laws like the one that just passed by voter initiative in Washington (proving why republic>democracy), making all semi-autos highly regulated, are non-semi-auto repeaters, especially pumps such as the Remington 7600 and 7615 poised for a resurgence? Washington is not the first...
