although the value of my modest 'collection' is actually substantial, neither the wife or I really need the money long term. I am still buying when I run across something that really tickles my fancy. I'll croak long before the missus, and my son will handle disposing of the remuda. He gets...
I have acquired a S&W 625-6. The seller was not the original owner and has no idea of the possible dates for manufacture or shipping. Basics are that it's a 4 inch barrel .45 Colt Mountain Gun. Adjustable sights. Serial number is CCF 57XX.
Any help would be much appreciated.
like so many others here, I have simply stopped attending mass events. Here in Miami, there have been many robberies, assaults and altercation outside of the venue, and with no ability to defend yourself it's a crap shoot.
I bought this Mossberg 20GA Cruiser for a defense shotgun. Quickly realized the pistol grip was not going to work for me. Picked up a stock and then a vent rib barrel with choke tubes. Now I can set it up for whatever I need to do.

I bought this 65 as a basket case. I sent it back to S&W for a complete rebuild. It was converted to DAO, and a new 3 in barrel replaced the factory 4 inch. It's quite the shooter now.
just about all animals come apart the same way. Well those with four legs, anyway. lol It's not difficult nor is it mysterious. I do most of my deer and hog hunting in a swamp. It's a challenge getting the dead critter out, and making the job lighter always helps. Game bags are a great...
Some years back, I rescued an abused Model 65. I sent it back to S&W for a complete rebuild. They returned it with a 3 in barrel, DAO lockwork, and all new innards. It is as close as you can get to a dedicated 'fighting revolver'.
through the many years of hunting in the South, I have taken bear, hogs, deer, squirrel, rabbits and 'gators, Manatee and other wild game. .22 LR, .357, .44 Mag and .45 Colt for the majority of that. One big hog last year with a 10MM Glock.
