    Gun socks

These are much better than "gun socks" in preventing rust and are safe for wood and leather. If you want socks to prevent minor dings, put them over the bags. If you're uncomfortable with "newfangled" modern products, just think of them as sock liners. :thumbup...

    Starling Shooting

As you saw, harassing and shooting them won't work. They have dealt with predators since as long as they've been a species. They'll wait in the trees until you step inside to pee, go to work/school/etc, or otherwise make themselves scarce while you are standing right there...and come in droves...

do you stop shooting before taking air travel?

No, and assuming you change clothes and take a shower before going on a trip no one would even be expected to know. BTW, the detectors aren't looking for powder or powder residue. You'd have to have a smear taken and put through a different machine and even then it differentiates between gun...

    Case Hobo

In every meaning of the word "cheaper". ;) Case doesn't appear to make a Hobo any longer, but you can still find a Hobo. https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/catalog/94709-case-xx-1999-chestnut-bone-hobo If you collect, you need one, but not a thousand dollar version.

    Sears Switchblades

Sears sold switchblades. Let that sink in a moment. Sears sold Pressbutton Knife Company autos in the 1897 catalogue. Pressbutton was a division of Walden and George Schrade designed them. Other manufacturers like Challenge, Imperial, Ulster, eventually Schrade-Walden. In 1950 Sears offered a...

    Gun socks

If you're keeping anything like guns in a shed that isn't on HVAC you're inviting damage. Gun socks aren't the best solution. If you won't move your guns to a conditioned space then put in an enclosure in the "shed" with a dehumidifier inside where you keep your guns. Run the drain out so you...
