Back to burning up cases again. Trying to clean up a buddies brass supply. I've got him in all RP I picked up at 300 pieces. Now I'll cycle through the supply 100 at a time and anneal them. Not fancy....
That's my main stash. My buddy loads 45 so he gets anything that's not Winchester now. I've never bought any and I have over 2k. Based on your testing that's a lifetime supply for everyone on the board 😁
Some cases suck for neck tension and are very thin. If setbacks are the problem, mixed brass is a terrible solution. Clean up the supply and only mess with brass you trust..
Only takes one oh crap to become a brass sorter. Agilla and Blazer both recycled. It would be easier to list the ones I use, and recycle the rest.... win, ww, rp, federal... done...
All sounding very reasonable, I guess we're considering different things. What I'm looking for is powder performance and efficacy, while most are chasing velosity. Powders like blue dot, 4227, and #9 all of which I use give their best combustion numbers in that 30-35kpsi range. So for me it's...
Your load was in tune for the current conditions using the run of components you had. When anything changes the tune changes. Use any data you had like velosity to retune your load. If your specs on ammo are good deep clean the rifle, check for tightness and try again. I've worked with two...
Why are we reducing pmax to 30 from 35kpsi. We're already running the 35k handicap from the 40k cip and earlier American loads.... I don't load 40k much, but some powders don't even turn on 30k and below. Blue dot being one.
50 a pound is vhit prices for 1 and 300 series. Imr is 75 a pound when I quit looking because it's not worth 50 percent more.... I feel shifting your buying habits to support companies not shooting prices to the moon is the best message. I don't feel like vhit is any lesser quality so I'm not...
