Not that I'm advocating for the Sig... I carry the S&W Shield Plus, but if I shot the Sig better it would be in my holster.
All else equal, what you shoot best should guide your choice.

That's a personal decision, which I fully respect. My LC9s has a safety (which is frequently checked) and the pocket holster covers the trigger. I'm quite comfortable with this.
When I must pocket carry, the LC9s slips into my DeSantis Nemesis. And yeah... it's about perfect for that job.
But Ruger seems to have a problem sticking to a platform. It's why I now buys S&W
This makes a lot of difference. You cannot draw and rack from a holster simultaneously, whereas from a bench it can be done while presenting the gun.
Safeties, OTOH, can be disengaged as soon as the hand hits the grip.
