Always do it myself using a plumb bob, a level that attaches to my barrel, and a torque driver.
I then use either a SiteLite laser boresighter or a Leupold "Zero Point" to bore sight.
I just re-looked at your images.
Honestly I think you have a feed issue.. mags or geometry IF you're getting that kind of setback with that variety of ammo. My AR6951 for instance hasn't had an issue with V-Crowns, GDs, and even 147grn FP coated bullets.
What mags are you using?
I couldn't find it either, so I just went off the picture:
Looks like a slightly darker desert camo.
From what I can gather, they only make or made 2 models of stocks for Bergaras and it was the Ridgeback and the Premier Approach...
Why avoid coated bullets?
I've shot thousands of them through my Colt? I normally just run whatever load I'm using in my IDPA gun through mine.. no issues.
Thanks guys!
I've got a Phoenix 2 in "Rim Country Camo" on the way. I did see that they made the Ridgeback stock for Bergara, they actually have one (Rem SA) on clearance now for $503.10 (free shipping) in Bergara camo...
Yup, realize that.
Just trying to minimize how much of the brass comes from the web while it's expanding.
Rather than "hair jell" or another lube, I've left the resizing lube on, with similar results.
Anybody have one?
Thoughts/experience?
Looking at either a Phoenix 2 or Ridgeback to drop a .223 700 XCR Compact tactical in. I get a 20% discount so I might as well jump on one now.
As per this thread:
https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/belted-magnum-brass-prep-false-shoulder.924291/
I've been playing with creating a false shoulder when 1st time sizing belted magnum brass IOT minimize case stretching from the web area. This started with a new Bartlein barrel on...
New "favorite" target arrived yesterday and got it's 1st coat of paint. 50lbs of AR500 that's going up at 540 yds off the back deck:
Just got back from Home Depot with the chains and bolts to hang it. All I need now is a 200m chicken.
So a friend of mine came out a couple weeks ago to shoot and had the opportunity to shoot my 700 in .223 at 200 & 300yds on steel. He'd never shot anything close to a precision rig previously and was impressed.
On Friday I had a few of the guys I served with in 1st ID over prior to the 1st ID...
I've got one a friend gave me, and honestly I can't stand the thing. The one time I tried it I spent more time fiddling around to get the crosshairs back on target than it was worth.
Personally I don't understand how anything that basically reduces recoil by adding weight will not:
1. Be...
For barrel break-in and brass forming I've been using Midway 168 grn "2nds" over H4831.
Not a reduced load, it mimics my LR deer load with Nosler 168 grn LRABs, but the bullets were cheap and shoot sub-MOA.
