Hey all,
I’m currently in the market for a home defense shotgun. I would like for it to be a reliable semi auto in 12 gauge of course.
I was thinking just a base model of the mossberg 930. Heard they were pretty reliable for the price.
I also want to be able to have the option to put it in...
Hey all, I have an older Remington 870 wing master from my dad. It is just a plain barrel with a bead sight at the end, not ribbed. The problem I’m having is the damn bead sight is so small and hard to see, plus this is just my personal opinion, but I don’t think the bead sight is a very good...

I appreciate that thank you very much. Thanks for all the suggestions. I’m gonna try to start ordering some parts and get more educated on all of it. I’ll let you know if I run into anything. Also the spur grip looks very uncomfortable to use. So definitely a thordsen.
Yeah the community is great! I’m in the Albany area and my FFL is a old friend who works out of his house. He really just orders thing for people and does pickups.
I might take up the project of building one. After all nothing else to do at the moment. I just feel like I would mess it up and order a part that’s not legal here because I’m not the brightest in this department. I’m mainly hunting and bolts
Also how does the mini 14 stack up against an AR? To me it seems like the mini 14 looks more like a rifle than I don’t know an “assault” weapon? They have virtually the same characteristics yet one is impossible to come by here.
I see that there are a lot of requirements. I’ve shot a lot of AR’s and have always wanted one but I’ve always pushed it back because I didn’t really wanna go through the trouble with getting one here. As someone stated above I think the best bet is to see what they have in stores. I guess I can...
Hey all, I’ve been thinking about buying my first AR. I’m not too sure if I can just buy the ones I’ve been looking at, especially in New York I don’t know too much about the AR requirements and laws. Anyone have a good knowledge of this? I was looking at a couple reliable starter ones such as...
Lots of interesting stories on this thread. I love to read them and see what others are experienced with. My dad is the one who taught me to shoot and he is right handed. So the first time he handed me a long gun and I put it up to my left shoulder because naturally that was my instinct and it...
For my 223 bolt action I was looking for a cheaper one maybe 6-9 under $50-60. but for my 308 I think I am definitely gonna save up for a Harris. That’ll probably more of an 8-12 or in that range.
I’m in the same boat! When I use a bow or slingshot I would shoot right handed. I guess that’s how I’m weird a little. I have more strength in my right arm or I think. I do so maybe that’s part of the reason I shoot the way I do.
I’ve had some problems with right eject shotguns as my right arm will basically be right near the ejector so it always hits my arm and almost my face hah. I’ve found left ejectors to be much more comfortable to me
This going to be kind of a long post. I went today to look at some rifles as I wanted to Expand the arsenal. A Tikka t3 in 270 caught my eye and I asked to handle it real quick.
He politely handed it to me and he noticed I was left handed and he said “oh well you don’t want that let me get...
