Not sure about this batch yet, but I'll find out soon enough. I'll have to finish loading the couple hundred I have left from my last order before I start on this batch.
I've loaded a couple thousand of these so far, and at one point I was getting some fouling in the barrel, coating I think...
The single large wooden box surprised me as well. It measures 11" x 9 3/4" and 2 3/4" tall.
They do scratch easy, although I have recovered a few that only had striation marks with the rest of the coating intact. I've also pulled a few and the coating was still intact, even with a .468"...
Bullets arrived about an hour ago. Box weighed about 40 lbs. I was expecting three small boxes of 500 bullets each, but it was just one large box with three bags of (I assume) 500 bullets each. The only marking on the box is the one in the pic. Each bag is marked "45185". The box was inside...
I hate to say I think you're right, but, I think you may be right. I've seen a decline in reloading supplies just over the five years I've been reloading.

Quick update, I checked my email a few minutes ago, and there is a tracking number for UPS. It was generated sometime yesterday, Monday, and the bullets are supposed to be delivered by 7pm on Thursday.
Looking good so far!

I bought a box of those to try, I have 10 bullets left. They shoot very well in my guns, but the Speer shoot better at the short 10-15 yards that I've tested.

Just checked my order, and it shows shipped. Ordered Saturday morning (they are closed weekends to the best of my knowledge) and shipped Monday. So far so good.
No tracking number or other info. Past orders have taken two days to arrive once shipped. I'll update as I get more info.

No, I haven't. Only because they haven't had anything I've wanted so far, otherwise I would like to give them a try. Mostly I load and shoot 185gr swc's.
I have ordered from MBC, but I don't think I've loaded any of them yet.
I really wish I could get the Speer 185gr swc tmj match bullets...
My LGS had a few pounds of 3031 lately, I think it was $65/lb. I have five pounds so left it there. I may live to regret that, but for now I'll wait. I don't expect prices to fall, and I actually expect powder prices to rise more and more as we near the election and the wars continue to drag...
Like the title says, I just ordered 1500 bullets from Acme, 185gr swc sized at .452 for $175 plus shipping. Based on past experience the bullets should ship Monday or Tuesday, and arrive here in about two days. Hopefully the new owners will be just as efficient as the old owners were. I'll...
I hadn't thought about it that way, but that makes perfect sense. Ammo manufactures may start focusing on military contracts again, leading to the less common cartridges becoming unavailable again (I'm looking at you 45 Colt).

@Howa 9700 That's an interesting take on the situation, but I personally think it's much less sinister.
The US, along with other countries, have been supplying munitions to Ukraine for a couple of years now, which affects munitions stocks/supplies in those countries, as well as ours. Next add...
That's how the affliction starts. The next phase is getting nervous when you only have a few years supply left. After that comes the part where you have to have more than the store you buy from.
And it carries over into other parts of life too. Your neighbors have a baby and now you think...
I wonder if the vendor has a stockpile of it and feels they can continue shipping it out for awhile, or
If they are still going to make canister powder but in much smaller quantity, and only ship it out to certain "preferred" vendors.
This doesn't really affect me directly since I don't use...
I try to have a good positive attitude, I know that I have it worse than some and better than others. Poor attitudes do nothing positive for anyone.
I really hate to say it, but I believe you're 100% correct. It's the future, and it's now.

Your first statement made it sound like you haven't reloaded before, and your second statement tells me you have. So you have some experience and have a good idea what you want.
As I said above, I don't wet tumble. My reloading buddy does wet tumble sometimes, as well as using a dry tumbler...
