Glad you like Doc Ford, AF. Us attuned to SW Florida love the series . Been reading them from the beginning.
Also, I am jealous of your varied SE Illinois terrain with all the different long gun possibilities and different critters to Shoot!
South Florida is so boring!
The Glock 26 9mm has been my EDC for over 20 years. 9+1 magazine. It has stood the test of time.
When going into the boonies or the Everglades I switch to the Glock 29 10mm. A fine gun with no weaknesses and plenty of power. Gators and Pythons are roaming everywhere in those hammocks and marshes.
I can say the same as CDW4ME. Every firearm purchase I made over the last 40 years has been through a FFL, other than the many made with my C&R License.
It's a non issue to me.
Two of my grandsons and myself are applying for this hunt . It seems very cool!
The kids are both taking their .30.06's.
I am torn between my .308 & .30.06 & .338
Which would you go With? Only want to take one rifle.
My Glock 29 10mm. Love this great gun.
Fired off 40 rounds of 180 grain Target of Winchester at friends secluded Bayside range in the Florida Keys.
Lots of fun.
I forget to mention that CCW holders can also carry concealed on Tri-Rail from Miami to West Palm Beach and return.
A very pleasant 65 mile trip. Do it!
In Miami Dade County, Florida, concealed carry is permitted on County buses and Metro Rail Transit. Its cool.
These can be dangerous areas, particularly at night.
A profound question, Double Naught. We need deep thinkers to inveigle into the discussion. Einstein, Fermi and Teller have passed away.. Hopefully, new brilliant thinkers can succeed them.
I have not been there since 1996. There was no problem accessing the dam crossing with a firearm then.
Now, it seems it is a gigantic headache. And if you are heading east towards the Great Canyon, it is a mighty long detour if you cannot cross.
I used to go every 3 or 4 years to New Mexico. Love Sante Fe, Taos and the environs.
The new anti gun environment there is chilling and very sad. I will probably never return.
Yes, you are correct. My word choice could have been better.
And to try to right the ship, my apologies to .308 Norma. I was feeling a bit cranky last night. You did ask a legitimate question.
