Using Citrus solvent as an environmentally friendly less toxic gun cleaner/solvent.

While I applaud the OP's attempt to be greener, I can't help but wonder what Uncle Sam uses. ( For good or bad, Lol ) Uncle Sam could benefit quite a bit if green cleaners worked and posed no bad after affects on small arms. I realize the Military has other "needs" from their cleaners and...

    Two more "tactical" 10/22's

What brand mag is that ? EDIT , I found it.. High Tower mag, how do they function ? 100% reliable ? Or have you needed to do the tape on the back trick ?

    A '73 Lever Action in.....9mm? Interesting!

I might be off base... but wouldn't there be a concern with using a pointy 9MM FMJ in a tubular magazine tube ? Would it be possible to "fire" one resting in the mag , with that pointy FMJ resting against the next rounds primer ? Most .357 / .44 cal ammo is flat tipped... so as to help avoid...

    Winchester 1886 45/70 26” barrel

Maybe so... but extraction became noticeably stickier with stronger loads.

    Largest caliber you own?

Ruger No 1 in 458 Lott.... with the right bullets , that thing will shoot ( width wise ) through 39 1/2" of fresh cut fir tree. 1st Pic. shows ....first 2 ,500gr Horn. Steel jacketed Copper clad , 500gr Barnes X , and Barnes Brass solid. Last pic shows... .224 62gr M855 bullet next to Barnes...

    Winchester 1886 45/70 26” barrel

If memory serves me... the Modern Winc. 1886 can handle up to 40K loads... in my 22" Carbine length Miroku made Browning. 1886 , that means about 1880fps with a 405gr Rem. SP. Plenty of oomph.... and yes it kicks like a mule. Best part is... you can easily load much lighter recoiling rounds.

    22ARC

IMHO , the .223 / 5.56 AR juggernaut, is losing a little steam ( it isn't sinking by any means )... lots of people are looking for "more" out of the standard AR sized platform.... rather than just buying another .223 / 5.56 AR15 to add to the herd. So the more choices, the merrier. Anyone know...

    “New” old Colt 9mm AR

MetalForm 32rd and 20rd mags... and fwiw, the other 120ish different Factory loads worked fine. It could very well be my setup, the SIG V-Crown's would consistently do it. All the 3 different weights. I was a little let down, by the V-Crowns. That big'ol HP showed promise given the added...

Maybe attach some Skate board tape to the plastic surface ?

Can a bad trigger help you be a better shooter?

IMHO, a bad trigger can still allow good groups, but it has always required more "focus" to do so. A good trigger allows me to spend that focus on other fundamentals. A better trigger , being more consistent, makes a world of difference .

    “New” old Colt 9mm AR

The factory ones I tried had bad bullet setback... maybe the crimp isn't as snug as yours. Be that as it may... just watch for it if anyone is using the same factory load.

    Are Colt barrels any good?

Colt barrels can produce outstanding accuracy. But it can be a crap shoot. Look through this link... granted Molon uses handloads... but given the results with those, I'd be comfortable buying a Colt Barrel. https://www.ar15.com/forums/AR-15/Molon-Reference-Links/118-693858/

    “New” old Colt 9mm AR

FWIW... 129 OEM 9MM loads chrono'd from my 16" Colt Pattern PCC Avoid Alum. cased ammo, avoid coated bullets, and frankly none of the SIG V-Crowns would function... all those had serious bullet setback. ( YMMV ) https://www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/-/16-712312/?page=1&anc=7429025#i7429025 Pics in...

Just got a new Teslong Bore Scope

+1 on the Slip 2000 cleaner.. its slimy but works. I will suggest you consider these... With Kroil and JB. These make cleaning a bore much easier. The advantage to the felt pellets is, you can thread them on tighter or looser, and that will change how snug the felt pellets fit is in the bore...

    .45 ACP Brass Primer Sorter

Very Clever !! Do 10MM cases have the same "issue" ? I seem to remember seeing some SP cases in someones thread. And... I would attempt to patent this... and consider selling them.

    7.62x39 v. 7.62x51 short range wounding differences

As per the OP... "To phrase a little more clearly, if you knew that you would never have to shoot longer than 150 yds, is the ballistic superiority of the 7.62x51 over x39 worth the increased recoil, increased weight of the rifle, and higher price of the ammo?" Probably not given that comment...

How do you rate AR Magazines & Followers?

The issue I have seen , is lack consistency from some manufacturers. Brownell's as an example, some batches were great.. some weren't... Some flat out sucked. Okay's ( you just missed a great sale at RRA's ) are wonderful, Magpul' are as well, and Lancers function great for me. A anti tilt...
