    Tree Pruning w 28 Ga

I can agree with the ladder thing. The last one I rode to the ground was a 12 footer. Do you know concrete is a LOT harder than it used to be?

Palmetto State Armory Model 570 Shotgun

Yah but that's only skin deep. Could have a heart of gold. Well maybe tin but that's OK.

    Tree Pruning w 28 Ga

Not out here. We live in a shoot first area. Couple of years ago we fired off 1,500 rounds of shot gun ammo in two days and no one blinked. I like living in South Dakota.

    Tree Pruning w 28 Ga

I do the same thing with a .20 gauge. Works great for removing caterpillar nests.

    NEF Pardner 12ga

My Ancestors carried both on the Oregon trail. Both were muzzle loaders and both are still in the family. I would venture a guess that one was just as important as the other.

    20" vs. 22" Turkey Gun

    Sounds like an interesting sight.

    Going to the Trap Field

I'd be scared to touch it!

.410 bolt action shotguns, what would you get and why?

Not sure they are rated for steel. Might want to check.

    Going to the Trap Field

Of all the guns I've owned and shot the Remington model 41 targetmaster and a good SxS are the two that have probably brought the most pleasure.

    Hmm what to do

Exactly. You can tell there is a lot happening during the shot cycle and most of it is felt buy the shooter. It's not really uncomfortable just not pleasant. If you hadn't shot anything else you'd never notice it probably. Also the inertia guns tend to require less cleaning and mine was very...

    Hmm what to do

I had a 3020 and my Grandson has it now. He loves it but I wasn't fond of how it cycled and ended up with a Stoeger SxS instead. You should shoot the gun and see how it fits you and if you like the shot cycle. Then decide.

    Stoeger, Tristar or Berretta

The Stoeger 3020 is a nice gun but being an inertia design the action is a little on the clunky side. It was something I just couldn't get used to. My grandson has it now and thinks it's a great gun. If there is some way you can shoot one before purchase I'd suggest doing it. I have nothing...

    NEF Pardner 12ga

I'll bet that is a nice shooting gun. Could keep you smiling all afternoon.

    NEF Pardner 12ga

Never owned a 12ga. but lots of 20's and a couple .410's. Still have a 20 just for fun and it is that. No sore shoulders that I can remember.

    Compact 20 ga

This should have read Mossberg. I'm sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

    Compact 20 ga

Savage (Mossberg) makes or made a youth 20ga pump. We have at least 3 or 4 of them in our family and have not heard of any issues. They are inexpensive so if they get damaged as can happen with kids it's not an issue.

    Long Barrels

So do two shorter barrels equate to one longer barrel?
  18. Cvans

    Long Barrels

Both but as I get older I'm leaning towards short. Previous to the short double I now have I've only had one short shotgun. It was a 20 gauge pump that was used to hunt rabbits over Beagles in brush and woods. That was 40 years ago and the guy that bought it from me still won't sell it back...
