Click bangs with old 303 Indian stuff is not the exception it’s the norm! The timing can be different but not by much, one interesting thing, As stated click bangs are normal but I have never had a round fail to fire, it may take a second but they all go bang.
Personally never had any issue...
Just change one thing instead of a Kimber mine would be a Glock 17 ! I bought a Glock when they very first came out, I have a Gen 1? Before there were Gens! Anyway it was a total jamomatic! Could not get through one mag without multiple malfunctions, regardless of ammo or mag. I was really...
Small tangent here, if you do have bad powder what do you do with it? (Regardless of type). I read somewhere a long time ago to put it in your garden / lawn. It makes a good fertilizer. Just put it in the area needed and add some water. I have done this and it does work. It is a very expensive...
I visit the recycler about 2 times a year. All my scrap brass goes with me. Mangled cases. Berdan primed cases, calibers I don’t shoot etc etc intake that money and ......... you guessed it but more gun stuff whatever it might be!
I use LPP cases period. All the SP cases go right into the scrap brass bucket.
My performance criteria? SP cases (before I knew what was going on) totally jammed up the performance of my Dillon 550 press. What a friggin nightmare. No thanks.
SP is a flaming PITA, I load LP 45 ACP only. Sorting through is just an unnecessary task that Federal has graced us with. More often than not I see a Federal headstamp it just goes in my scrap brass bucket.
That’s just me in my crotchety old ways.
A marlin 44 mag lever gun, I bought it on an impulse since I had money burning a hole in my pocket in 1979. I don’t understand why but that thing kicked harder than anything I had at the time. The lever did not fit my hand and cut my fingers up. The worst was out shooting in the desert and went...
I use The exam gloves from Costco and I have got the nitrile gloves from Harbor freight tools both work very well harbor freight has some thicker ones also, whatever you do just use gloves I’m retired now but I came out of environment where I saw the effects of long-term chemical exposures...
My son took my GI 1942 Inland M1 to a carbine class, we have our M4orgeries but he wanted to do something different. He showed up and got quite a few strange looks. Everyone there had some type of AR something, some guys recognized it, but a lot did not. Even the instructor started to give him...
I took one of those 10 round rotary magazines apart years ago when I heard the main spring inside to go rrrrrrrrr and unwind itself I knew I was in for trouble it took me a while but I finally got back together again I’ve never taken a 10 rounder apart again and I never will and I’ve never had...
Before I sold my Mini14 to my brother I had a dozen Thermold 30 rd mags that were brand new when I got them and they all worked like a champ I don’t even know if the offered anymore. The only reason I sold it was that it just did not fit me as I am a pretty big guy the Ergonomics just didn’t...
I am a new old member I joined many many years ago but just posted something here tonight haven’t even been to this site in years and guessed at my login name and password and it worked !

I am a seasoned reloader but have never loaded 9 mm before. I have a Dillon 550 and plenty of components and knowledge to make it work. The ammo will be going through a Glock 17 and a new Ruger 9mm carbine ( that was a Christmas gift and I absolutely love that gun but that’s a different...
