I now own my second Rossi M 92 lever rifle. Years ago I found a used short barrel big lever .357 m92 in a gun shop, and bought it on impulse...the old Puma/Interarms. It worked great, shot well, and would feed and extract any .38 Spl or .357 i had laying around, including some old handloads and...
At one time, this was perfectly true, and the revolver makers used it as a selling tool... but the revolver may still have a small edge over the autoloader in reliability, and there is always the fact that in event of a misfire, all you have to do is pull the trigger again for the next shot...
New guns, I'd have to say just one. a little Taurus .22 pocket auto. Took it to the range, found it shot over 12" to the left, and not even a good group way over there...also wound the mag release button was very lightly sprung...I took the gun out of my pocket and the mag just dropped right...
Practice dry firing, using a light switch or similar as a target. You will see how the gun moves as the hammer falls, and it will allow you to see where you need to improve your grip, trigger squeeze, etc.
Snubbies are really accurate if you are consistent from shot to shot.

Yes, several different SAA's over the years...
I have one right now that I will carry when hiking with my dogs later this year.
I have carried single actions as big as a Super Blackhawk 7 1/2" in a shoulder holster under a fall jacket.
The one I have now is an Evil Roy .357 magnum, 5...
Long ago, a buddy of mine who was in the Marines was arrested for murder...they had id'd his car, stopped him and a friend, took them to jail...then the police realized the 2 murderers in an identical car were black, while my buddy and his friend were white...
It's just for ID...what makes me...
I own about 6 S&W revolvers right now, and one S&W auto
and a 1911.
I carry a Rossi 462 stainless 6 shot .357 magnum snubbie. I replaced the hammer spring with one recommended by Woll Springs-the one they sell for the S&W J frames.
I have been shooting handguns since the 1970's and have...
My opinion of a SAA for carry has not changed. IF you really know
how to shoot it well and you really know how to handle it without stopping to think about it, you could do worse.
It's really up to you.

I'm not a believer in the OSS theories...and I have seen
way too many videos of police officers shooting at people in real life and scoring no hits to think they -as a class-are any better shots than CCWers..In fact, I think many civilians are shooting enthusiasts and practice more often than...
The .303 British has been in constant use-civilian and military-
for well over 100 years. It is a great hunting cartridge and feared military cartridge. I have owned maybe 10 Enfield rifles and I find the .303 responds very well to handloading. I still have an old .303 Ishy that is my current...
I recently bought a Rossi 462 2" .357 mag.
It is GREAT to shoot. It's all stainless, and heavy-26 ounces empty. I replaced the hammer spring with one from Wolff that they use for J frame S&W's, and the trigger is much improved. It is a solid and very accurate revolver, and I carry it everywhere...
I have owned and carried 2 4" S&W Molde 29-2's, both blue, one
ported one not. I used an old Bucheimer pancake holster and carried them under a long untucked shirt with NO problems. I also used a fanny pack at times. I used mostly mid level Magnum loads with JHP's...I liked the CCI Blazers a...
Cabelas. Most guns at my local Cabelas (Hamburg, PA) are overpriced,
"take a number" system it very slow, as it their paperwork processing .
I DID find a bargain last Saturday, but it took me nearly 2 hours to put 1 used revolver on layaway, over 90 % of it waiting.

Longshot, I worked with a guy who used Uberti Schofields
in .45 Colt for CAS, and he loved them. He used a short barreled model for his carry gun.

I go with bad ammo rather than any problems from .38's
in the cylinder. I have seen this several times with bargain ammo, and it happens in several different guns.
Try another brand.

Most people like hollow points because they expant to make a bigger
hole and supposedly transfer their energy inside the target instead of passing through.
BUT-many of us who carry smaller calibers - such as the .32 ACP - use ball ammo for penetration, the idea being that there is greater...
I bought one for myself about 10 years ago, but never shot it much...
My wife shot it the first time I took it to the range, and it has been hers ever since. She is deadly with it.
They are the duty version (4" barrel ) of the K-38 Masterpiece, and they are a lot more accurate than you can...
