Here's an excellent comparison of qualities of many different gun oils
I was surprised at how well plain WD 40 did in friction test. Looks like one of the best, if not the best at reducing friction and rust prevention is Hornady One Shot, to me.
Thank you for appreciating my efforts. You are correct, it has taken years to reach this level of perfection. Now, if I could just remember where I put my......................;)
But don't worry, I have faith that you, too will get there sooner or later. just be patient.
That'll never do! Never. I like the "lived in" character of your old room better. It'll be months before you'll get it re-arranged in order to be able to find anything now. ;)
This is what a "lived in" reloading room is supposed to look like (and I straightened it up for the...
Years ago, before they made bushing dies, or at least before I ever heard of them, I was trying to improve runout on my handloads and determined that most of my issues were caused when pulling the expander plug out of the case neck in sizer die. I had an old worn out RCBS die that I'd loaded...
Talk about old! This shotgun "loader" was given to me as a teenager (early 1950's, before plastic shells). I loaded shells for my dad's old 12 ga. Remington, after we found that it had damascus barrels and was unsafe w/modern ammo. Unfortunately did not realize until recently that paper hulls...

Supreme Court Takes Up Biden Administration’s Attempt to Reinterpret Meaning of “Firearm”
Because gun control has little or nothing to do with solving problems (other than the “problem” of Americans owning guns), marketing...
Unique is, well it is Unique! Works in everything from pistols to shotguns and yes even in the venerable 30-06!
Years ago, I was talking to a Sierra tech about loads for Mod 70 target rifle for my first ever upcoming 1000 yard match. Had loads and zero's out to 600 but needed some comeups...
W/larger media, IMO, there's about a 50% less chance for media to get stuck in flash hole and those that do are soon to be evicted in the decapping die. Jury rigged this primer pocket cleaner (at left of photo) using an old sewing machine motor & foot switch. Turned an adapter to fit shaft...
Cool! You know, I mentioned I did not remember a primer catcher on that press back in the '50s when I used it at the gunsmith friend's shop. As I recall, we let the primers fall off on the floor then swept them up when we got through. Looks like that should work though.
Managed to concentrate for 15 shots in a 20 shot competition.......until the 15th shot hit the spindle holding the 3" spotter disc in the 14th bullet hole. The wooden spindle splintered, blowing an 8-10" hole in the target, requiring target repair, which took 5-10 minutes before they could get...
Sounds like a great idea! Wish I had taken advantage of such a trip back when I was able "Both financially and health-wise."
You know the old saw, "Too soon old, too late smart"; had to give up my travel trailer lots of years before I anticipated doing so due to health issues.

Brings back some not so good teenage memories. Folks house had no insulation in the attic. Dad decided to put in fiberglass insulation and had same problem around the eves....clearance tapered off to zero, and since I was young, and the smallest, I got the job around the eves. I took an old...
Looks just like it did 70 years ago! 👍 👍 Leverage was one of the great things about the Pacific back in the day. I don't remember it ever having a primer catcher on it, but it has been a long time. Seeing it all bright and shiny again, I can almost smell Werth's cigars; he always had one going...
