Henry all weather 45/70
8" Ruger charger and folding brace
Springfield 1911 range officer
Remington model 7 16" threaded in 308
Another 30 caliber can for the remington
I shoot all "trapped" hogs with a 22 long rifle pistol. They drop immediately! When hunting "nontrapped" hogs, I do not use a 22, but instead a 7mm magnum. I have killed hogs with less than stellar shots with the 7mm, and they will run quite a ways. That proves just how important shot placement is.
I think they are excellent guns. Is the build quality that of a Ruger...no. Are they reliable and fairly accurate...yes. Atleast that has been my experience. I have a few of them that I purchased for students to use in pistol classes I teach. Not one issue yet with thousands of rounds fired...
I have the CCW firearms covered, but I would love to have a 44 for hunting purposes. I would probably go with the Smith or some other revolver for hunting.
I believe that UPS changed the policy a little while back to requiring 2nd day air delivery, not NDA. I would check to make sure as I don't have experience with shipping this way. As an FFL, I always use USPS.
We have trapped way to many hogs in the past. They can be a major pain. We always just shot them with a 22 caliber pistol. They drop in their tracks when shot in the head.
I am surprised that nobody has mentioned the Bersa line of handguns. I have never owned one, but I have read countless positive reviews and posts. It seems that a lot of the owners consider the Bersas a bargain.
I think that the price difference will be closer to $240, but I could be wrong. I would assume that the CM9 will have traditional rifling and no dove tail front sight just like the CW series.
NICS will usually give the dealer a date to complete the transfer. That is probably where the FFL got the 6 day delay from. That is most likely the date that NICS gave him.
I have never worn a pack with my sling, so I am not sure how that would work. The straps are big enough that you could wear it over a pack, but there would be an abundance of straps for sure.
On my coyote gun, I use an Outlaw Sling. I walk in to sets. This sling makes it easy to carry shooting sticks, calls, or drag a coyote because the gun rides perfect on my back. It is not the fastest sling as far as getting a quick shot while walking. But if you are looking for something for...
I have sold a few the last couple of months, and I agree that they are one of the best "bang for the buck" guns out right now. I had a chance to put a few rounds through one of the ones that I sold, and I was impressed.
