This was last year that I chrony'd some JSP 158 gr. with 14.5 gr. of 2400. I don't have all my notes handy. I can't remember if they were Hornady or Speer brand. Either brand were old stock, probably from the 70s. But COAL was 1.610". 10 rounds shot out of a 18" barrel. Outside temperature was...
Here is a rundown of powders loading for NATO loads.

They have disclaimers throughout that some of their loads exceed
standard pressures.
But they do give a good rundown of powder densities and other characteristics.
Am I safe to assume that an AR10 style should have basically the same ejection pattern?
Mine is unfinished, but would like to know for future reference.

Here is an interesting article about Accurate's No. 11FS. There writer states that (Primex) WC297 and W296 are similar or the same. And Power Pro 300MP is a tweaked W296. And SMP297 has flash suppressant added which has become AA #11FS.
I believe that Winchester termed it ball powder, and had rights to calling their powder as such. Others call theirs spherical, or flattened spherical.
It seems that most flakes are in the Alliant line-up. Though 700x and 800x are flakes too. You may have already known this, but I thought...
Dack has another sale on Hornady. They may take up to one month to ship. But good prices.

Just my 2 cents worth, I think the FCDs are good to have on hand. Like so many tools in my tool boxes that I rarely use. But they both come in handy from time to time.
Dack has a Hornady sale going on today.

I have had a LC9 for about 10 years. It's a pocket or IWB carry. It has been reliable. Yes, it has a long trigger pull. I don't find that it is a heavy pull. And it has a definite trigger break, with little overtravel.
Not so much as the cost of jacketed. But more of the challenge. My plan is to not start off with cast until I get a grip on loading jacketed. I load a lot for .223, but cases are plentiful for that. I want my .308 cases to last longer. :)
Good point of cleaning the bore before swapping types. I powder coat my cast. So if I do my part correctly, I should have minimal to no fouling.
The Riflespeed AGB looks supreme. I like the extended dial. Got it in my favorites for later. Thanks!
I will have to study up on which gas block to use. Hopefully I can gain some insight here on that. :)
I have a nice mold for 155 gr. bullets. Got it originally for 300 BLK. There is some load data on cast bullets for the .308W using H335 that I hope I can build on.
I'm about to order a 20" .308W barrel with a rifle length gas system. If suitable, I'd like to be able to switch from jacketed to cast with gas-checked. The build is in DPMS style.
What do I look for on a barrel as pertaining to the gas port size? I have read where some have enlarged the hole...
Most of the 300 BLK brass I have is repurposed 5.56 brass. As long as the brass neck wall thickness is .012" or less, they will fit the Lyman case gauge. I use the Lee's sizing die.
For a quick reference. :)
