My various pistols and rifles with red dots got me bamboozled.
I have to shoot them to remember what distance is set.
Each one is different. I can't make them all equal. too much work. What is the simple form?
So maybe I need to keep my shooting book with me?
Much obliged, Max
You folks are much swifter than I am.
I use a S&W 19 for ultimate self defense. Why am I slower? Adrenalin kicks in, tunnel vision takes over. All I can remember is PULL THE TRIGGER.
Oh yea, I have a Glock w/competition sights ready too. ;)
Stay safe,
Max
HaHa, I sold my RL550 with all the accoutrements to my MB mechanic. actually swapped for a huge repair. I am glad to intro him to reloading.
I still have smelting and casting eq. to get out of here.
Oh yea, and a RL450, and a RCBS Jr.
Why? I'm getting older, I can't do the outdoor competitions...
yes, a service revolver in .38spl is best. none of the women in my family is going to spend time at the range in any regular fashion. therefore a gun that you can pick up and goes bang is what's needed. lengh of pull and trigger weight notwithstanding. good luck.
Why do people assume that small hands need small guns?
Or better yet why do women want who don’t shoot regularly want complicated auto loaders?
My medium hands work fine on my CZ75B SA
And My Beretta 92FS.
I do have to shift grip to drop mags and also to release safety.
For tactical...
What is it?
we have a golf course and the Cardinals and Woodpeckers dig holes in the cedar siding etc.
we have one of above items; it takes a shotgun 209 primer and makes noise. what is it called? and where can i find more of them?
much obliged, Max
Hi HB, i am with you, more presses, set up for individual work is fine.
I have two dillons, a RCBS Jr. and a Lee Single Stage.
All set up. the Lee to trim cases, the RCBS has a bullet puller, the RL450 has .223 Rem set up, and the RL550 is for all other semi's. oh except i forgot my Lee...
One eyed Jacks are wild...just joking. i appreciate your collecting these. I had one in my hand which didnt work for evaluation from a friend: after showing to my gunny we decided it wasnt worth buying a mag and then trying to unfreeze it all and make it work.
hi Ya,the 1/2" riser did the trick. Kudos to gunny at Evan's range who clued me in to risers.
so far i only shot 25 yds but no trouble. mostly i needed to get over the handguard and to attach the smaller (is that weaver?) base on the rings i got with the old Tasco scope. what else i learned was...
hi ya xb, i showed it to my gunny; he is looking for a solution. after that i either return the scope to the LGS (same place) or buy 1" and stretch them. much obliged, Max
Hookeye, wont that throw off the optics if i go too high?
Guys, you have all helped; thanks. but you know what? I am going to ask my gunny on Tuesday when the LGS opens for his opinion as to size and whether this scope is strong enough for the AR platform. if not I have it for an extra on my...
The rings I have fit well. I bought the scope with rings at LGS. It was a bargain. I have both the iron sights and an Trijicon ACOG red dot good for about 50 yds. which is what I expected from this rifle. but now I would like something that reaches 100yds or more. And the Tasco looks like it...
