I, too, have had an awful experience with Heritage customer service when attempting to solve my issues with my Rough Rider. It is, without a doubt, the biggest piece of crap firearm I've ever had the displeasure of owning.
My Experience with Heritage Rough Rider
I only have experience with a 10 gauge shooting 00 buckshot. Due to the way the pellets stack you get the same amount of pellets in a 10 gauge 3 1/2 inch shell as you do a 12 gauge 3 1/2 inch shell. I checked both of Federal's offerings of 10 gauge 00 buckshot and 12 gauge 00 a while back and...
It really depends on how the friend takes the advice. If they're open to listening and learning, but simply keep forgetting I would remind them as many times as it takes. If they flagrantly disregard my advice I'd drop the issue and quickly separate myself from them.
I've pointed out dangerous...
People walk around all day every day with loaded, safety-less pistols pointed straight at their cojones with nary an issue. Guns don't just "go off" without being handled unless they're in some way defective. I don't think your friends actions are cause for concern. JMHO.
I use Johnson's Paste Wax, which is essentially Ren Wax, on all of my wood, whether it's poly coated or an oil finish. Helps with waterproofing. The poly is waterproof as is, but the wax makes me feel nice and gives it a nice shine.
This seems to be the primary reason people are upset. To me that seemed like a blatant bait and switch, assuming your descriptions and condition grading was reasonably accurate.
I'd be pissed if I had a gun that was going for $1,000 on the secondary market and was told that I'd get 80% for it...
That's a fair point. Often times I don't factor mags or accessories into the value of firearms I'm buying/thinking about buying, I just consider them extras to help sell the product or set it apart from similar offers.
If those prices are 80 percent of retail then I'd love to shop in his market.
The fact that you went through all of the effort to catalogue your firearms with descriptions, conditions, and manufacture dates tells me that you are at least somewhat familiar with how firearm sales go. The fact...
I've been considering making something along these lines to carry some hunting gear. Just a little something to hold my Opinel or Green River knife, possibly an extra mag, water bottle, flashlight, and a .22 pistol. I like the traditional look as well as being able to wear it over a coat/shirt...
Hey LiveLife! How do you decide when to stock up? What trends/criteria do you look for?
I'd love to make a bulk purchase (particularly of CCI SV), but I want to be reasonably confident that I'm buying as close to the bottom as I can.
I'm reading mixed reports on the temp sensitivity of TAC. Some say it's super sensitive and others say it's nearly as stable as Varget.
I'm wanting to load some 110 or 130 grain Barnes TTSX for my .308 Win. using LC brass and TAC because it seems to give great velocity compared to other listed...
Without reading any of the links I'm gonna say they're A.I. written articles. Mumbo jumbo writing is currently pretty much the defining characteristic of A.I. generated "content", but over time I'm sure it will become increasingly difficult to tell the difference between it and traditional human...
Consider a 110 or 130 grain Barnes TTSX bullet, depending on the intended game. Should help lighten up the recoil a fair bit compared to 150 grain bullets. There are plenty of threads on this forum and others praising the effectiveness of the 130 grain bullet on deer and elk sized game. You have...
I don't bring a pack of any sort as my M81 Woodland shirt has enough pockets for everything I bring with me to the woods. It's nice to not have to worry about a bag getting hung up on stuff or accidently forgetting it at home. If I'm hunting I'm wearing my M81 shirt, so there's no way to forget...
I'm looking for my very first silencer and could use some help. It would be for my .308 Win. hunting rifle with an 18 inch barrel. I'd like it to also be able to handle 7MM Rem Mag pressures from a 20 inch barrel.
I value weight savings and shortness, but not at significant expense of noise...
I look for free shipping as well as no tax. Brings the price down quite a bit. Often have to buy in bulk, though. Can't buy just a box or two.
Free shipping over $250 as well as no tax for my address. Comes out to $15/50 rounds, or 30cpr...
It's stacked deep everywhere I've been for quite a while now. Given brick and mortar pricing I'm pretty much only looking to buy online as of right now.
If it helps, a member on another forum emailed Barnes and they recommended a minimum impact velocity of 1800 fps for the 150 grain TSX and 1500 fps for the 168 grain TSX...
I'm racking my brain trying to figure out any reason why Glock would do that and I keep coming up with nothing. I swear some people just don't think before opening their mouth.
