On the 870 police model, when you rack the slide forward with the trigger pulled will it continue to fire? As in rapid fire.....Or do you need to release the trigger every time you cycle the slide to get the trigger to reset?
Any particular model or make to avoid? Local shop has a bunch on the used rack and some are pretty well priced. I will use it for casual wing shooting and a lot of casual clays. 12ga of course, and the less expensive the better say around $400.00 used. Weight doesn't bother me too much so it...
I have a real good buddy who lives in Cali who saw the new Uberti 1872 Conversion I just got and he wants it bad. I got it used in a trade. He lives in California, and can legally own guns and does, but I was wondering if the weird sketchy laws they have forbid this gun being shipped to his FFL.
Got two in trade today, one is a AWA Longhorn, kit UN-assembled NIB in .357mag, looks like my AWA Longhorn in .45lc pictured here, (the top one in this pic)
I am pretty sure this other one is a Navy 1872 conversion from cap and ball to metallic, and it is in .38spl...cel pic though...
What is the shortest barrel that will still get good ballistics out of the 30.06 round? I am talking factory ammo here. And not out to ranges of 1000m, something more like to 500m, and closer. I am thinking 18~20in is minimum.
I'll start off. I was ten in 1968. I had owned a couple of the Montgomery Wards fiberglass bows when I was an even younger kid, a 15lb and a 25lb bow. I shot and shot....I loved archery. I started at the ripe old age of 6. I wanted and dreamed of owning a quality bow. I looked at the bows on the...
I decided to buy a Trident folder last month. It was
A: Cheap for a quality maker's knife.
B: Looks cool in it's TiNi coating and radical blade shape.
C: Is assisted opening, whic I need for a work/carry folder.
D: has a great grip which stays grippy in all conditions and temps.
E: Comes with a...
A buddy can get a NICE ADL in 300 Weatherby, but I was wondering if it can be re-barreled to something cheaper to shoot like 300 win mag or 30-06 or .308. Would you have to swap out the bolt too?
Well, sort of! I have a old Larry Nirk longbow that has a problem with the top limb de-laminating right were it makes the transition from risr to limb, but on the limb. The riser is intact. I am going to either buy a used recurve cheap (there are a lot round here for sale under 100. I am then...
Is there a M1A type rifle legal in the DC area? Is it illegal there to have a flash suppressor? I know there is a cali legal M1a, but is it legal in DC?
Looking at all the bow threads, and reading what I do about today's equipment makes me laugh. It makes me laugh because so many people have jumped on the HYPE put forth by the equipment manufacturers, and all those who think they NEED it. Sure, new fast bows allow a longer shot to be taken...
So, I have probably six Sure Fire flashlights. I have one for almost every need save for any of the new super expensive LED miniatures.
I have two G2Z's neither of which work anymore, a few others. Only one is still fully functional. I got a RA from customer service for the worst of the...
Well, after having my 1911R Scorpion for long enough to get about 500 rounds thru it it has functioned flawlessly. I can say this gun has made me shoot more since it is so fun and accurate. I also got a RIA Tac at the same time and modded it with a full ignition set from Wilson at about 4lbs and...
What was it? I remember seeing it on a Guns of the World series and had seen it before but can't remember what model it was. I am pretty sure there was a protruding mechanism part somewhere on the slide that if pressed or hit would fire the weapon. Japanese I think.
Say a guy, like this guy I read a post from on another forum, wants to build an AR15 from (almost) scratch. He says he can buy unfinished AR lowers he needs to machine and drill and they have no serial number. He says it is perfectly legal to buy these, and build up a working AR with no...
So here's what I have heard and read. I would not only like to know if it is true, but would like to verify my knowledge if it IS true.
MIM parts are in all entry level 1911s save for RIA 1911's.
MIM parts can not be gunsmithed to make them work better/smoother as in a trigger job can not...
Here's a video I shot in my land shooting my GSG 1911-22. Man, the video makes it look a lot closer that it was! It was at about 25~30m, at a small bicycle water bottle bottom.
Hit it 8 out of ten though!
