The only AR I have miss a beat was a newly built .300 black out. Gas block leaked. It was getting better, which made me suspect gas block leak was beginning to deal with carbon. Replaced bad block, no more problem.
Check fitment of block first, them replace it.

I used to use Spike tactical upper receivers and their lowers as well. Last several builds have been with Aero Precision which is my new go to. I have used a few Anderson upper receivers as well as lowers with no problems at all. Maybe something changed? Possibly. The only lower that is giving...
Oh I'm sure many mix and match work, this was first 9mm carbine, so I wanted to avoid any distractions and have only one manufacturer to question with any hickups. Plus, I am a big aero fan!

Same here, plenty of parts on hand. This will change as soon as litigation is over. Read the bump stock opinion, exact same argument. Only congress can make laws, NOT the NFA folks. They are essentially making laws, (which they can not do) by "reinterpreting" them. Same logic sunk them trying to...
All that needs be done is to take off the brace. That brace is now on a gun with 16 inch Barrell. The other is now a legal pistol. Rather than tear up existing barrel by welding, just get another barrel for the time being. For my 9mm "pistol" I just removed the brace, and put a shorter, 5 inch...
Assembled many AR15 rifles, first one in 9mm.
Bought Aero Precision upper, lower, bolt, tube spring and buffer, all for their epc parts.
Test functioning it with 9mm snap caps I noticed that unlike manipulating the slide on a semi auto, the shell eject...with the AR they do not fly out like a...
I often think of Shotgun News in the old days....Grands for 50 bucks. They were all packed in goo and all, but still wish I had bought a few hundred dollars worth.

That's a itty bitty rat! I've seen them where you had to look twice to make sure it isn't a big fat possum. Those suckers can get pretty darn large...

I got caught in one shortage, never again. Positive things came of it, I learned reloading and have put in a good stock of calibers I have, except .458 SOCOM.....dies, brass and bullets for it will be coming, but 9mm, .308, 300 Blackout and .45 are WELL supplied!
Also learned to build AR15...
Nuts. Something else to worry about! Both of the two I have put mount/rails on I believe we're OK. Perfectly flat fit.
The instructions talked about instances where one end or the other wouldn't both be flat. There solution was to bed it in that jb weld stuff in a tube, with some kind of wax on...
