I don't know that a squib would block the barrel of a 25. I had a squib in my 357 mag with a 10" barrel. Only the primer pushed a 158 gr JSP out of the barrel. I know the 357 has a larger primer but everything is relative. The 25 cal probably has a 3" or smaller barrel.
