That's cute. It's nice that it comes with a rifle, ammo, flashlight, multi tool and optic. The fact that it comes with a first aid kit and MRE is a joke, but it's a funny one. It'll probably sell pretty well.
That man needs to leave this country if he's tired of the rights that the Constitution grants him. Maybe a country like North Korea would fit him better.
Do you have another AR or is this your only one? If you don't, I would recommend holding onto it, and onto those mags as they'll probably start to go up in price soon.
While I haven't experienced the issues that you bring up, I have seen this product: http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/PRI-Gas-Buster-Charging-Handle-p/pri%20m84%20gb%2005-0032.htm
It's the gas buster charging handle, which is designed to minimize gas coming back at you by venting it to the side...
I had to put this in legal forums, since it technically is a legal issue, and I fear that not enough people read the knife channel on this forum.

I've shown at least 10 people how to use guns in the 8 or so months that I have become interested in them. I'm teaching others are every opportunity. That's the best way to preserve the 2nd Amendment.

I'm not one to look for trouble but, in that sort of situation, if trouble comes to you, a bullet-proof...
It's true, but unfortunately I feel that much of America will get a rude awakening if the economy does collapse or enter into a long recession, which is what is predicted.
I'm guessing that they will rise, but more so due to election scares than the economy.
I guess we'll have to see what happens. It seems like our nation is heading into a very interesting time in history.
I also think that it's very mature of you to make the choice not to carry if you feel like you may hurt someone. Carrying a firearm is a big responsibility.
I wouldn't worry about it, since any reason not to use it would be based on pure emotion. The SKS that I have may have very well been used to kill someone, but I don't even think twice about it. It's just a piece of metal to me.
That's been disproven time and time again. People have only used steel cased ammo with no ill effects that wouldn't be present had they been using brass.
