Contact your divisional office for the right form, it was pretty straight forward from what I remember. I did it a few months ago and I think all I needed was the old address, the new address, send over my FFL, then the ATF sent an agent to ensure the facility was ok and they sent over a new...
Well they're both totally different guns, I can carry a p239 practically anywhere but with a full size p220 I don't know how convenient it would be, also a SAO gun is probably not the best choice for carry. I've got a p226 with the SRT and I love that trigger, but DAK is my personal preference...
I ended up buying insurance for my firearms separately, don't have a home so it makes sense. I do know that you can additional coverage on your home owners insurance for your firearms, just gotta pay a tad bit more per month.
My favorite rifle trigger is on the k31, absolutely no resistance once so ever until you reach that wall and enough pressure to break that wall, it snaps instantly and the gun fires. On pistols, I like a smooth consistent pressure until I feel that wall before it breaks like glass.
Well armed cops like that are a semi-common sight in NYC, mostly at busier hubs like grand central, penn station, or when important people are in town. I've also seen cops armed like that at US airports. There most certainly armed cops in China, most unarmed, and the heavily armed ones I saw...
Good for WI, any idea about non-residents getting a permit? I travel through WI quite often and definitely would like one. Regarding the other states, there's a big difference between shall issue and may issue.
So I called my ATF bureau and I was pleasantly surprised about how quickly I was able to get through to someone and how quickly they answered my question. So basically I'm fine, I can have a premise address that is different from my mailing address and it is ok for me to have my firearms in a...
I currently have a C&R license, with my parent's home address on the license. Since going to graduate school and graduating in the great recession, I've stuck in NYC due to better labor conditions and now I'm really missing my guns. Since the closest place I can get all my guns near me is in...
The thing about rules is: the government agency opens up the issue for comment and then they make their own darn decision anyways regardless of comment. Given who we have in working in that agency....well bye bye Saiga unless it gets some political attention. Doesn't hurt to comment though....
Break in for any gun is stupid. If it isn't reliable out of the box then why the heck would I depend on it for my life? Bought a P239, functioned flawless out of the box and not one single FTF or FTE in well over 5000 rounds and eats everything I've thrown at it.
Let's hope so, I've spent a full year now being gun free and it ain't no picnic. The hurdles you have to clear just to get a permit to own a handgun is insane.
NYC requires a permit for possession of a handgun or rifle. And if you have ammo for a gun that ain't registered to you, you are in trouble if you get busted. NYC doesn't play around, so unless you are prepared to end up in jail, don't bring anything.
