Could you please explain why "that IS NOT true" Sam1911? Maybe I've misinterpreted your comments. By "some crisis or growing problem" do you mean crazies shooting up the public, or that it is not true the government is scheming to come after our guns?
Appears you have got a lot of good feedback from the LEOs on this forum regarding Sigs and other firearms.
Good luck to you in your career!
If I could only go back in time.....
9mm - ammo is still affordable.
Go to a range and rent various guns. Carry what you shoot well or feels good in your hands. There are many great guns available but only you can tell what will work for you.
Good luck.
BTW - I have a Glock 26 and is the least expensive gun I own. I prefer it...
I've had a Defender for a while now and never had any issues except for an occasional ejected casing to the forehead. I suppose I could get that remedied but it hasn't been a priority. I have only shot the PDX1 hollow points and have never had any problems with them. I clean mine only about...
I'd like to be able to buy ammo in bulk. And, ammo prices in the gun shops I frequent is very expensive. So having frequent sales on 9/40/45 ammo would be nice, sort of a thank you for using your range and buying your guns. Not having to use ammo bought from the shop to shoot a rental gun.
[edit] Sorry, title should be 357/38.
I have been wanting a lever gun for a while. Not sure why because I have no need for one. But as a kid I remember shooting my friends 44 magnum on a deer hunt, and my uncle had a .22 lever gun that I always enjoyed.
Anyway, I noticed that Henry has...
Considering someone wearing body armor, you hit 'em with a 357Sig and they are gonna feel it. Its gonna hurt. Might not kill them but they will certainly be rethinking their objective unless maybe they are drug crazed. Getting 10 shots of 357 on someone in body armor will probably give you...
If it has not already been suggested, and you are able, go to a range and rent a few that you are interested in. Would hate to drop a bunch of cash on some gun that just doesn't fit right.
I think some here would disagree, but that S&W governor for an HD gun looks attractive to me. Has the...
Do the Boy Scouts have a badge for gun safety or something similar? I sure hope they do.
(edit) By "hope they do" I mean teaching an upcoming generation about guns so they can help keep our 2nd amendment alive as they reach adult age.
I like my local cigar shop. Inside, sign behind counter in big letters "We don't call 911" with a nice picture of arevolver as a backdrop on the sign. No signs on doors.
A few weeks ago I sent an e-mail to my reps. It was basically a form letter my company had put together regarding sequestration. All I had to do was select the right senator to send the e-mail to. Guess what?
I got a response back via e-mail. And, it too was a form letter. Obviously they...
There have been several threads on this and other forums about increased gun sales - one indicated a record number of sales in December alone.
Anyway, I was earlier reading some articles by Massad Ayoob (my apologies if I misspelled his name) some of which discussed gun-related self defense...
