I own a Blackhawk 45/45acp and the Redhawk 45/45acp and a BFR 454 with a 5 inch barrel.The BFR is the most fun to shoot,but I carry my Redhawk more than any other gun I’ve owned. I will be adding another BFR in 45-70
I have safari slings on my scoped bolt actions and saddle rings on my lever actions.
This year I bought a Henry Model X 45-70 and tried the safari sling it’s great holds the rifle upright and very quick to mount and shoot
I agree had a lot of black cases in my Redhawk and Blackhawk slightly better in my Rossi carbine.Then I started loading hot with little gun and H110 Ruger only loading.But don’t Ruger only load means a gun that is made for the pressure.

I put one on my 350legend build with a 18 inch barrel and realized that with the collapsible stock it doesn’t save that much in length but much wider. I like it better without.

I shoot my Red Ryder BB gun every day at small targets. It’s the same size as my favorite lever actions and just plain fun.
Works for mice,moles and red squirrel too.

A old lever gun with iron sights like a Winchester 30-30 . I always bring a lever gun as a backup rifle just in case.
