Walther PDP - Pretty Damn Phenomenal

Finally got to try mine at the range. I had trouble trying to sight it because I was trying to use the open sights and the dot at the same time because I could see them both at the same time. First Red Dot with Co-witness sights. I had to make myself tune the open sights out and just pay...

PPC Loads for 38 Special and 357 Magnum (Target Level)

If you decide to try SWCs try 7.1 gr of Power Pistol with a good LSWC bullet. I get steller accuracy with that combo. They chrono at around 980fps out of my 4" GP100 and in my 686, it's one of, if not the, most accurate load I've come up with.

    Alliant 2400 in .357 Mag

With all your competition shooting, I'm sure you have a better system than mine. That excel spread sheet I use is the one you put on the forum for the rest of us to use if we needed one, a few years back. Really appreciated it to.

    Used Revolvers from S&W

My 686-4 is my favorite revolver and will never go anywhere except to my son when I die, who also loves it. It's not a no-dash but it edged out my 28 as my favorite revolver of all time. I still entertaining the thought of looking for a good 38 special Masterpiece, I've never owned a 38...

    Alliant 2400 in .357 Mag

I'm using the 2007 version, it really easy with it. I use the "insert" feature in the header of the Excell and choose picture. Click it in there and resize it in the spread sheet to fit where I want it. The cell you click on will be the upper left hand corner of the picture. Then click on...

    Alliant 2400 in .357 Mag

That's about what I have got from my 4" GP100. That barrel to cylinder gap vents off a lot of pressure in revolvers. The looser it is the more pressure is lost to the bullet. This is coated lead so I would expect my velocity to be a little higher than plated. I like the accuracy of this...

    American Reloading

I ordered 2 cases of Unis Ginex from Midsouth Shooters Supply and Fed x handled them also. Like Epiphany said, two 5k boxes taped together inside another box. I was supposed to sign for them and the package was late enough that we had the trackers out on it. When it finally showed up the...

    Just ordered bullets from Acme

I was buying from Acme but then started buying from Brazo's. Brazo's must have fell on hard times because they said they moved and now don't offer even so much as a 158gr SWC. They said they are making only the popular bullets right now. How is a 38 cal SWC not a popular bullets. I'll...

    Beware of Vihtavuori Load Data.

I have noticed three different types of powder being hotter than what they are advertised at. One of them is BE-86. I am getting Alliants max load velocities with their minimum load data. I sent some into Alliant for testing, and the results were kind of funny. Range with 124 gr bullet is...

Gun powder. It's a beautiful sight to see.

I have a feeling we better save these pictures for the "Good ole Days" discussions. We used to have a LGS around here that looked like those pictures of powder galore. He sold it and the new owners ran it into the ground. Just greed and laziness.

Ruger single six .32 hr mag

I never see Single anything around here, let alone a 32 H&R. That has to be fun! And Bisleys on top of that. I told my self that I don't need to buy anymore guns, but one of those would check a lot of boxes on my "why I need it list". I want an old 38 special Masterpiece to. I guess I'll...

Walther PDP - Pretty Damn Phenomenal

I haven't got to try my Holosun out either. Two more days and I'll have 4 off, then I can play. I don't know how I couldn't like it. I need to load some 9mms too. I think I'll load some BE-86 loads. 5.3gr is really accurate with a 124 gr Xtreme TC plated bullet out of my PDP Pro SD.

Something wrong with my Sig, or my recipe?

Sure does. Not a big deal. Soot is coming from an in-efficient burn due to lack of pressure. Doesn't hurt a thing.

Walther PDP - Pretty Damn Phenomenal

Have you been able to try the white spring yet?

Kinda set on getting a 9mm comped and optic pistol

You could also look at the Walther PDP Pro SD with a threaded barrel. They take any sights that fit on a Glock, there are Red Dot optics available that will direct mount so you have co-witness sights, and come with a really good trigger and flared magwell. Just something else to consider.

Walther PDP - Pretty Damn Phenomenal

Thank you, I forgot about the white spring. I know when I'm shooting light 124gr loads, I could open my range bag beside me and most of them would just fall in it. My light loads are probably mid range though to most people.

I'm sure they do, That may just be a stock photo of the PDP. I was just poking fun at it. Try that comp out yet with the yellow spring?

Walther PDP - Pretty Damn Phenomenal

https://fragoutmag.com/walther-pdp-selected-system-pistole-spezialkrafte/ What is that abomination on top of that PDP? They call that a duty gun? A competition trigger system, flared mag well, with no safety for a military ops gun? That's interesting! More power to them. I think you...

I like mine, it will add a little weight also.

Walther PDP - Pretty Damn Phenomenal

The reflex sight on my Q5 is red and I think I see the green as good if not better and it seems easier on my eyes. I know every one's eyes are a little different. I need to get mine to the range to try it but I have to go out of state for a while and that will have to wait.
