I use IMR4227 in all my magnum loads, 327, 357, 41, 44, 45c, and one rifle load, 35Rem. It’s not the fastest in any of my loads but it’s the most accurate in all of them. I can get a higher fps with H110/296 by about 80 to 100, but I don’t shoot anything that needs the extra speed.

I don’t trap so I should keep my trap shut about this (pun intended) but is that not uncomfortable around the neck. I wear a rig that will go either way. Mostly cross draw.
I have it in 22-250. It is one fine long range rifle. With the load developed for it it will do a ragged hole out to 200 yds. I bought this years ago before they were well known and expensive. I have put about 4500 rounds through it without a single hiccup. I don’t think you will regret the...
Was in the LGS yesterday killing time, just shooting the bull with Mark. I almost left without looking in his Ruger display. Kinda glad I went back in and looked. $650 otd. Don’t know if I done good or not, but I’ve been looking for one in this configuration for years.
I have 2 each .270 and .280. One .270 does sub moa with Varget under a Hornady 140 BTSP. The other .270 does sub moa with 7828 and a Serria 140 SPBT. Both .280 does moa with IMR 4064 and a 139 Hornady ballistic tip.
Carry a SP101 a good bit and a GP100 when weather will allow me to dress for it. Both are 327 Federal Magnum loaded with my hand loads. A 100 grn Hornady hollow point and enough 4227 to get about 1200 fps.
My three favorite deer “rifles” are Super Blackhawk Hunters in 41, 44, and 45c. I use the 45 most often nowadays. It’s loaded with a 270 grain WNFP at about 950fps. Longest shot so far has been 63 yards. A 45 caliber hole on both sides will leave a blood trail a blind man could follow, and...
The 365 has served my needs for a couple of years now. It lives in my sweaty pocket constantly. It has never let me down. It gets the lint blown out when the thought comes to mind. It gets wiped down with an oily rag on occasion. Yes it shows some wear and what some would call abuse but it has...
