I'm having the 95 marlin chambered in 450 AK, but I can easily see there will be a wee bit of a length problem. Anyone know how this is corrected? On one forum I seen gringing down the carrier. I assume that means the rear stop. Does that sound like the solution?
Like I said,my opinion has and will always be a big frontal area right outta the muzzle. Sure takes practice with the rainbow trajectory but its mushroomed cause it was when you put it in the gun...my .02$. So what I'm in the process of doing as we speak is rechambering a 95 marlin to 450 AK so...
My two cents JSHIRLEY
I shot a 7x7 1050 lb roosevelt at trot with a very poor shot just and I mean just catching the rear of the lungs at 236 yds with a 350gr WFN out of a 45/70. I figure from my ballistics program it was doin 786 fps on contact two finger entry and exit. Wound on lungs was...
I've seen a lot of bad shots turned into good shots by a large frontal area...Like somebody above said"maybe you did'nt mushroom"...A 458 WFN is mushroomed before, during and after contact garaunteed
Well heres good news and bad. I did mine a few times for various reasons. I picked up little techniques(more like ways to hold my tongue) I do remember one thing. Forget about the bench. Get down on the floor and make love to it cause it wants you to have a thousand fingers everywhere at...
About 18 yrs ago I bought a sako deluxe special order in 300 weath mag. You know the one,the floor plate has a white engraving of an african antilope, trigger guards engraved, finbear insert, dark forend, medium weight barrel. I've fired slightly over a box of ammo. Curious as to what the resell...
WINGNUTX has it
at work we got some rubber belting 3/4" from a big mill.It was used as a tread to roll the logs while debarking. We use it to pad while lifting heavy objects. I brought some home that was all torn up. I dont own a gun that'll shoot through it
Just got a m70 bolt 270 made 1950. The orig owner is trying to tell me the pachmyr pad came factory. It looks no holes and clean job,yet from what I read of all the options I struggle
Having a chance at one of these old girls but wondering what to expect. Its supposedly mint. Does anybody know aprox eye relief, value$,how well built, clarity of optics, any of the above. Thanks All
I dont know if theres pitting under it or not. Its like a layer of rust on my oct barrel except smooth and above the surface of the metal. How would a fella take that off without getting into metal?
PS I would also pick up the 4227 and the stuff ending in dot for your useage and cause their still available. But I never like to pick up just a pound or two of something abstract which I'm going to develope a load for, fall in love with ,then find out I cant quite get the same thing again...
Every time one of these happens I sure hope we stand up and take note. All the commercials on TV,drugs and what not are looking after the female gender just fine thankyou. Its kinda like if your fixing up two old cars. When you get one done and just a shining in the sun you start working on the...
Oh ya MP510 I can through a sherman tank on my flat bed trailer and drop it at your door without stopping at customs,if you try to send me a part off a pellet gun the world stops rotating on its axis
