Handgun sales data for the last few years showing how may revolvers were sold and whether the number has increased or not would remove speculation.
I Googled but did not find that data in a brief search.
My guess is there is no revolver resurgence, sales data could show otherwise.
About 30 years ago I had three 44 Mag revolvers, Dan Wesson, S&W, and a Ruger Redhawk; the blast rattled my molars. 😵💫
My guess is for wilderness defense most people would rather have a 10MM Glock with 16 rounds than a revolver with 6 despite that the 6 are more powerful.
I drive a stick shift...
Glock in a kydex holster.
I "had*" to turn the heat one day last "winter" so comparatively it is always hot here.
*Probably could have made it without turning the heat on if I was okay with it dropping to 66-67 degrees in the house; but I figured I should run it at least once to make sure it...
I wear thin, untucked, loose fit, "fishing" shirts that usually have a pattern; thin tank top underneath between me & gun.
I prefer long sleeves because it saves me putting sunscreen on my arms.
Mine yes, Glock 19 minimum.
For others the selection process is apparently (when not at work, if they still do):
shootable under stress
enough rounds on board
"wouldn't want to get shot by it"
fits in pocket
No, in my case I'm trying to make a point. Don't factor the items with strikethrough in the decision on whether to carry a spare mag, just do it.
Carry a spare mag regardless of capacity, whether it is a 1911 or Glock 17.
Leave statistics out, citing statistics is usually someone advocating...
🤨
Well then, get a 30 SC.
Sig 365 is a "decent"* minimum carry, 11 rounds.
*Decent defined by me as at least 11 rounds of 9mm; though in the case of a 9mm 1911 I'll let 10 rounds slide.
x2 on handgun hero and it has pics.
This one shows how a Sig 365 is about the same size as a snub.
Which often influences snub advocates change the point of discussion from size to shape; nonetheless, the 365 is still better.
Well, preferred carry (thread topic) may be influenced (limited) by unrequired shirt tucking.
If someone says a LCP 380 or snub is their carry they may omit that they prefer having their shirt tucked over carrying a more advantageous handgun.
I don't suffer with that.
Does work limit my carry (clothing)? No.
Am I willing to wear a belt? Yes.
Am I a slave to unrequired shirt tucking? No
Does where I am standing (like in a good spot) decrease my desire to incapacitate attackers ASAP? Nope.
Would I rather run out of ammo or have bullets left over? Extra bullets...
