Any other Tyler T Grip users out there?

I just found a Tyler T Grip in one of my junk drawers, and put it on my old S&W Highway Patrolman 4"er...I haven't used one in years, but they really make it easier for me to shoot .357's...I think I'm going to like my HP a lot more with it on. Anyone else use one of these old fashioned...

    A NEW Rock Island/Charles Daly/ARMSCOR 1911 thread!

Here's a link to the ARMSCOR/RIA owners forum at 1911.org: http://forum.m1911.org/forumdisplay.php?f=17 I saw there was a 4 year old thread recently re-opened that got locked, so I thought I'd start a new one. I started shooting 1911's in the 1970's, and have had a few from different...

Installed a Timney Sportsman trigger in my K98 sporter...WOW!

I posted here a week or so ago asking for experiences with the Timner Sportsman trigger. I got some very positive responses, so I bought one from Brownells, and just installed it a few minutes ago...an incredible improvement! First, thanks to all who responded to my first post on this...you...

Just ordered a Timney Sportsman trigger for 98 Mauser

sporter, made in the 1960's but with a re-worked military trigger. The rifle was re-barreled to .308 Win, has very good workmanship. I just installed an old US made Redfield 2x7 on heavy rings and I think the trigger will be a real asset. Anybody else like the Timney? mark

Charles Daly 1911 owners - ARMSCOR will honor

your warantee. I had a problem with my ARMSCOR-made Charles Daly ECS Compact 1911pistol...the recoil spring -factory new in 2003-was starting to go bad. I emailed ARMSCOR in Nevada and talked with the company gunsmith. They sent me a NEW DESIGN recoil spring system that replaced the one in my...

    Young people laugh at revolvers?

I read a post somewhere about a handgun class...seems only one person brought a revolver, and a lot of the younger studs there thought it was quaint - to the point of being amused that anyone would actually carry such an antiquated thing. Well, I will certainly admit to being old, and even...

I am a progressive liberal - I think Obama is as leftist

as Richard Nixon. I am SURE there are other liberals, Democrats and leftists posting here. I want to encourage ALL of you to join the NRA. They need a large leftist component, larger than what they already have, to become voting members and try to restore it to the fine organization it once...

Just bought a scope mount for my Norinco SKS - old eyes.

I am wondering if any of you who are not as young as you were have tried this and how it worked for you. I got the kind that replaces the top cover (yeah, I'm not expecting a sniper rifle, just want to be able to see what I'm shooting. FWIW, I can't use it to hunt in my state - no autoloaders...

New Charter Arms revolvers - any better?

I used to keep reading online that Charter was about to turn the corner and their QC was about to get well. Anybody have any real information on their current products? I had one of the old Bulldog .44's and it was terrible, but I keep hoping they will get it right. I also know many people...

    Recommend a scope mount for Vz24 ?

Just cleaning up a Vz24 Czech/Romanian Contract rifle. Bore is good enough to warrant a scope, and I'm looking for recommendations for a "no-gunsmith" mount what takes Weaver-type rings and won't require modification of the rifle. They are great, handy rifles, and this was the first one I have...

Any light bullet loads for .35 Rem ?

I have a great older (1961) Marlin SC in .35 Rem, and I'm looking for your information on light bullet loads for varmint type hunting at about 150 yards. I'm thinking of something like 125 grain JHP pistol bullets. Any thoughts/help is appreciated. Thanks. Mark

Another thread about moving to Texas

I just read the thread about moving guns to Texas. My sister and brother in law live in League City, and have asked me several times to move there when I retire in a few years. Are there any good ranges or clubs in the League City area ? I shoot mostly handguns, and mostly just practice, not...

Info wanted on new Mini - 14's

I'm thinking about buying a new Mini-14. I'd like to hear from owners/shooters about these guns. It will be about 99.99% a plinker, used with 20 rd mags, maybe surplus ammo. Thanks. Mark PS I will be 58 in August, and can no longer shoot sub MOA with anything, so I'm not concerned about...

    I almost own a Keltec P32

I just put some money on a used Keltec P32 pistol. It came with 3 mags, 1 10 round, a pouch of some kind, box and all papers. Its Parjerized, about 3 years old, looks barely used. $165 plus tax/fees. I couldn't say no. Anybody else have one of these? Mark :)
