.22 lr cases into bullets ?

there's a tacked thread at ar15.com, I believe in the reloading forum, about this. A guy posted pics and a write up using that equipment. He says he's had good results with it. But, yeah, fair amount of work IMO for not a whole lot of gain. I suppose like anything, the key is if you enjoy...

Where is the RCBS Rock Chucker Manufactured?

This topic came up in a thread back in December of '06. I emailed RCBS and asked them about it. Here's the thread: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=241195&highlight=RCBS+China&page=3 Here is the response I got from RCBS.

    TAURUS PT 145 PROBLEMS

I have only experienced light strikes with my MilPro 145. I think it might be a newer one, it has the light rail on it. Not 100% about what generation it is. Anyway, no feeding problems, just light strikes. A friend of mine seems to have fixed that for me though, it has fired a couple...

Finally got a Kobra for the SAR-1! (pics)

    small base dies?

I also picked up the small base X-Die for my Varminter. (Great AR!) The X-Die has a mandrel in it that keeps the brass at the same length after the inital trimming. In other words, once you start using an X-Die, trimming your brass is a thing of the past! Midway has the SB X-Die for $35...

Trying to decide: Lee Classic Press or RCBS Rock Chucker

Response from RCBS Well, here's what RCBS responded to me with. Vague, but I kind of expected that. (I cut out the email addresses for spam/abuse prevention.) ----- Original Message ---- From: rcbs tech To: kamicosmos Sent: Wednesday, January 3, 2007 6:16:36 PM Subject: RE: rcbs.com -...

Trying to decide: Lee Classic Press or RCBS Rock Chucker

I emailed RCBS with this: ------------ Hello, I have been using RCBS presses and other products ever since I got started reloading over 12 years ago. I currently use a Turret Press and a Special 5 single stage. I saw a rumor on the internet recently. It suggested that RCBS presses are...

Trying to decide: Lee Classic Press or RCBS Rock Chucker

Anybody have definitive proof that RCBS actually is having the presses cast/made/whatever in China? I'm at work right now, but when I get home I'll check out my Turret Press. I just bought it a couple years ago, so if it was made in China, the box or press might indicate that. I'm also going...

A Taurus PT145 followed Me home today!

A little update about my PT145. The P14 mags don't work real well for me. I seem to wind up pushing on them with a finger or palm, and it either makes the rounds not feed, or it jams up. So, I can't use those. Maybe with some kind of spacer to fill the gap. They do fit in the gun just...

A Taurus PT145 followed Me home today!

I was intriqued by it simply because I liked the trap shooting T-Rex. :D Might try it if I can find some locally/at a show sometime.

We have covered the purchase requirements so far. Transportation: In MO, if you are over 21 and can legally own firearms, you can carry a loaded and concealed handgun, or rifle too, I suppose, in your vehicle, even if you are not a MO resident. That's how we got car carry and ccw in the...

    Jack Reacher novels

I've read the first couple books. Actually picked them up because of reviews I read here! But, yes, the gun stuff is just bad. I was amused taht Big Bad Jack Reacher, 220lbs, 6'4, while shooting the Desert Eagle .44, nearly had his arm tore out of the socket from the recoil! LoL. And, yeah...

Do Third Party Presidental Candidates get Secret Service Protection?

Just what the subject asks: Do Third Party Presidental Candidates get Secret Service Protection? I know Clinton, while running in 92 asGov of Arkansas, had SS protection. Did Badnarik and Cobb have it? Or, if you're not already a Govenor or Senator, are you on your own for protection while...

Art, I am a NRA member, so you can update that list. This is great that we have a date set now! I was just thinking on my way into work tonight about what I wanted to do for my vacation next spring. I was thinking, "Something in the Southwest would be nice." Then I recalled the early...
