Taurus Model 85 SS .38spcl ...I bought this for her 16 years ago. Carries it in the center zipped compartment of her purse.
She tried other types, including a Ruger LCP but she really likes to be able to see the rounds, The 5 shot Taurus is simple and, most importantly, she has...
Wow...
Just got off the phone with a nice lady from RCBS...They are sending me a decapper that will fit the sizer die that I have now. Sending it free of charge!
Now I feel like I need to buy some RCBS stuff to help pay for that kind of service.
Thanks again all!
Thanks guys!
Ok, Thanks so much for the info! I sent an email to Huntington's asking about the special decapper rod. I may also call RCBS direct to check on the decapper rod as well.
Trying to just use the equipment I have in stead of always buying new...this will help!
Thanks,
Pappy
Started reloading again after being away from the hobby for a few years. Currently loading 45acp. 380, and 45 LC no problem. Using Dillon and Lee dies on a Dillon 550.
Ok, I bought a used RCBS 3 die set for 38/357. The decapper is in the EXPANDING die and not the sizer die. So if you picture a...
Great info!
OP here...
Thanks for all the great info. Now I have to find some dies. Probably get the .32 cal 100grn LRN from Missouri Bullet. Good excuse to place another order with them.;)
I have a family "heirloom" that I want to shoot. It's an old 1905 model SW 32-20. The barrel says "32-20 WCF". As a youngster, we used to shoot it with dad just a few times a year. I still have a box of old Win 32-20 100grn bullets.
Missouri Bullets has a .313 diameter 100 grain LRN that...
Olive/Canola Oil
I load volumes of pistol ammo. Ran out of one shot about a year ago. Tried the cooking spray. Not Pam...I use generic canola or olive oil. Pretty light stuff. My method now is use a plastic bread sack or wrapper. Spray about a 2 second burst to lightly coat the inside of the...
Question for Kirk
Cpt Kirk,
So you have been backordered that long? I spoke with a seemingly knowledgeable phone/catalog salesperson who said the bo's have been running about 3-4 weeks on the lpp's....I guess she is exaggerating a little. I feel like just putting my order in and waiting...
Sitting at my desk. Hear the email chime. Immediately I look and see it is the notice from Midway for SPP's. Seconds later it chimes again with LPP's. Holy cow and I am right on it!
But nooo... I click the links and see the sold out on both. Being the quick thinker I call the toll free...
New guy here...
If nylon is ok check out the Blackhawk #1 or #2. I have the #1 for a Ruger LCP, fits like a glove, covers most of the trigger guard, and works very well in my front right pocket.

Thanks everyone for the great information. Looks like I'll try and find a Lee FCD or similiar and at the same time continue to reload and re-learn.
It's been about 15 years since I reloaded. My main reloading notebook was lost in a basement flood and with it was lots of notes regarding...
Getting back into reloading and need to by 38/357, 45 long colt, and 45 acp dies.
I used to have 3 die sets (rcbs), but wonder about buying the 4 die sets like Lee offers to get the separate factory crimp die.
Does it make that much difference? I'll be loading on a Dillon 550B.
Pappy
OP here...Lots of votes for midsouth...Lots of good choices folks. Thanks much for the quick feedback....Oooh, midsouth shows "in-stock"
Must use restraint and be stealthy..
Wife sez, "Honey, what's in the big box on the porch?"
I sez, "Hey , let's go out tonight with...
Brand new to the forum. Years ago I had a Dillon 550 but sold it. Now I want to get back into reloading and am considering the Hornady LNL. I know both are excellent presses. If I wanted to buy Dillon new I would go to the Brian Enos web site. That's where I purchased back in the day. I'll be...
