May have found problem? This is a view into bottom of die. Seems to show rings inside of there. Surely it should be smoother than that? If that's the problem I will order a new die can't be good on the brass.
I see what you're saying. the die may be coming to a stop. I'm using a Forster coax and pulling the handle back up may be causing shell plates to leave the ring where they close around the case. My eye sight is not very good but I will investigate the best I can.
I've only got calipers. It won't take me long to fire a few more rounds and then resize them and check for ring. I'm still going to cut one open though.
The only rounds fired from the new gun are fine. The other rounds were fired from a like new Remington 700 SPS AAC model which I gave to my daughter in New York. I'll try sanding one down and see what it looks like. I always load mid way between min and max load data.

This die worked fine the last time I used it. I've tried cleaning it out twice now. The dies sat for a few years along with the brass. Neither are rusting or corroded. I recently got a new Weatherby Vanguard and decided to use them again. Thanks for all input.
