This die worked fine the last time I used it. I've tried cleaning it out twice now. The dies sat for a few years along with the brass. Neither are rusting or corroded. I recently got a new Weatherby Vanguard and decided to use them again. Thanks for all input.
I have a Bushnell Elite 3200 2-6 power scope and an Ultra dot Match dot II red dot and I'm trying to figure out which one would be best for white tail deer? I've shot the scope on it but, only at 25 yards off shooting bag and table. I figure, any shots I get would be 25-60 yards maybe, a little...
Hello, is it safe to work up a load for 6.5 Creedmoor 120gn (no brand) sp. bullets? If so, how should I go about it? I've never came across this problem before so I thought I'd better ask someone else more experienced than I, because I'd rather be safe than sorry. Thanks! Also, they are flat...
Anyone know of a good parts kit to upgrade the action cycling for extraction and ejection? I'm open to other mods which might cure my problem. Thanks! :)
I'm getting ready to hand load some ammo with these new dies and was just wondering, should I trim all cases to 1.275" after sizing or, just check lengths and as long as they are in spec, just use as is? Thanks! :)
Can someone tell me whether this will fit my buckmark URX 5.5" Camper barrel or not?

All primers in the re-sized 30-06 brass all fired good that were fired. The 35 Whelen Hornady brass, was the only thing that failed to ignite on some rounds the 30-06 brass is Federal my guess is difference in primer seating depth it seems, the primers aren't quite as deep in some of the 35...
I've resized my 30-06 brass to 35 whelen but, it's all around 2.460-465" in length. The book says trim to 2.484" should I trim all the short brass equal, to the shortest case? I have 10 pieces of regular Hornady .35 Whelen brass that after running through the resizing die can be trimmed to the...
After re-sizing 30-06 brass to 35 Whelen, can just the brass be used to check chambering in the riffle without a bullet in it? I'm loading for a neighbor and I'm waiting on bullets to arrive I'd just like to be resizing, while waiting for the bullets. I'm not positive but I think the 35 Whelen...
I purchased a Redding pro series set of dies for .44 mag and the directions for the profile crimp die suggests using a little lube with it for smoother operation. Does anyone else, that uses these die sets use lube with their profile crimp die? Thanks! :)
I plan to load some rounds for my neighbor for deer hunting but, due to the shortages of all firearm related items, all he could find was 165 grain bullets. Any suggestions on what might be usable powders for this caliber/weight bullets? Thanks! :)
I found two sets of instructions, one says screw seating die in til it touches sized/primed and powdered case then, back out 1/8th turn but no more then tighten lock nut. The other instructions are the same except, it says back out lock nut 1 full turn? Is the full turn only needed if you also...
I'm using the lee fcd on my 44 mag loads of Hornady 240 gn. XTP over h110 powder. I've noticed after crimping, the COL seems to wind up a few thousandths shorter than before crimping am I using too much crimp causing this problem? Thanks! :)
When I go by volume #10 hornady loading manual with a trim length of 1.275" for the cases, the case doesn't seem to go very far up into the cannulure to get much of a good crimp bite at 1.600" COL, as recommended by the loading manual. Is this a common thing and does it still get a good enough...
I thought I'd try to lighten and maybe smooth the action by polishing the innards a little polishing compound. I need some opinions on which trigger/ hammer spring kit I should try. I've been using WLP Primers so far, haven't tried any magnum primers for full house loads just trying to get...
I got this info from Lyman instructions. Is this the way most of you that use this particular die set it up? Thanks! (
Adjusting the T/C die: With the shellholder at its highest pint, turn
your T/C die into the press until the dies’ bottom edge is just the
thickness of a matchbook cover away...
For those of you who use this trimmer, which shell holder have you found to work on 44 magnum revolver cases? The only one mine will fit in is # 04 the largest one in the kit and it seems to do a good square job of trimming the cases to length but, when I look at the suggested chart size online...
My seating/crimp and expandar dies are older RCBS but, the sizing die is a Lyman TC die. Since the Carbide ring is recessed, should I go ahead and screw the die all the way down til it contacts the shell holder or should it still, be backed off a slight bit since it does have the Carbide ring...
