I picked up a Gen3 G26 with Meprolight night sights at the gun show today. Came with 2 magazines. The Gen4 G26 with fixed sights and 3 mags was $20 cheaper. But, after adding night sights, it would be way more expensive.
I owned a G26 before and got rid of it to raise funds for reloading equipment. Now, I'm considering getting one again. Guess I miss it. The G19 conceals pretty well. But, not as well as the G26 would IWB. When hunting, I typically carry my G23 and don't have to worry about concealment. But, for...
I've owned 4 1911's. Still own 3 of them. STI Trojan 9mm, Kimber Pro Raptor and Springfield TRP. Sold a Para-Ord to a buddy who was on a budget. The Para-Ord was reliable from day 1 and probably had 1000 rounds through it. I had no reservations selling it to a friend as I knew it was reliable.
I went with the Savage 10 Precision Carbine. The Accustock is a decent stock and thus I wasn't compelled to immediately go and buy an aftermarket stock. As a result, the Precision carbine actually costs less than the SPS Tactical since you will feel the need to get a new stock with the SPS...
Definitely check Bushnell Elite 4200 and 3200 scopes that are on closeout right now as Bushnell is reorganizing their product line to all be under an "Elite" product line.
Looking at the Vortex Viper PST FFP 4-16x50 or one of the two new Sightron scopes for 2011: SIII 3.5-10x44 LR MDCM or SIII 3.5-10x44 LR IRMOA.
I'll be using it for hunting and long range targets on a Savage 10 PC in .308.
Which would you go with and why?
I've been reloading .45ACP for awhile on a Dillon 550b. I understand that most recommend a single stage press for rifle rounds. I'm interested in reloading for 308 and 223. So, I'm considering getting a single stage press. What all additional equipment do I need for reloading rifle rounds...
I have a Remington 700 ADL in .270 and a Ruger M77 MKII in 30-06. I really like both of them. The 700 ADL is flat out accurate with sub MOA accuracy at 100 yds and your basick black synthetic stock and barrel. The Ruger is a little less accurate but more refined with nice wood and blued...
It is an ADL not an SPS. That means it doesn't have the floor plate or detachable magazine box. Upgrade to a stock that fits a BDL will require a conversion kit to convert from ADL to BDL. Brownell sells one that is around $130. It will have the same action and barrel as the SPS Varmint and...
Any difference in performance between the two? Obviously, the Lite will weigh less and be easier to carry in the field. Any reason to pick the T3 over the T3 Lite?
