    Clip draw for J frame?

I've been using an original Barami Hip Grip for a very long time. Simply disappears under a t-shirt just behind the hip.

    Trifocals for shooting open sights?

I have been wearing progressives for a very long time and have no difficulty with iron sights. You quickly adapt and learn what part of the lens to use, just like learning to see printed matter.

Are 12 ga shells, 2 1/2” long, available?

A 2 3/4" shell will be 1/4" longer than the 2 1/2" chamber when it is fired. This will cause a constriction in the forcing cone resulting in an increase in pressure.

Are 12 ga shells, 2 1/2” long, available?

The loaded shell will fit the chamber, the problem is the fired shell will not. How much that will raise pressure, I don't know. Modern 2 3/4" loads could be well in excess of the service pressure your gun was designed for.

LC Smith - $250 what to look for

Hard question to answer, so much depends upon condition. As noted above, cracked stocks are a known issue with these guns. The Cabelas near me has three Field grade LC Smith's, a 12g, a 16g and a 20g with prices running between $1,000 and $1,500. Finish wise the 12g and 16g look a little...

LC Smith - $250 what to look for

Okay then, never even considered that. :) Knowing that I would say look them over for any signs of abuse or significant wear (off face definitely qualifies), barrel dents etc. Oil soaked and cracked stocks are probably the single biggest concern. You should probably send them to a qualified...

LC Smith - $250 what to look for

If I'm reading this correctly both guns are missing parts and the one for sure needs significant repair to be safe. Sounds like they are both parts guns at best.

It's hard to beat a plain old Keith SWC. All the accuracy and penetration you could ask for in a time proven design.

Are 12 ga shells, 2 1/2” long, available?

Supply is sporadic at best. Reloading is the best option for a steady supply if you can find suitable components.

Looking for a 357 handload without stuck cases

I resolved sticky extraction in a 41 magnum using this method. Certainly worth a try if the throats measurements are correct.

Looking for a 357 handload without stuck cases

This is my thought as well. I have a 357 Maximum that was experiencing the same problem on two of the six cylinders. Turned out that those two chambers had very tight throats. I reamed them all to .3585 and all is well, the brass drops freely from all chambers.
