    9mm and Winchester WST

I have never seen any pressure tested data provided by the manufacturer for WST in 9mm. I have used it in very mild 38 Super revolver loads (151 gr. Rainier at 800 fps). My impression is that it builds up pressure very rapidly as the charge increases .

    Experience with Glock compact 45's?

I purchased a G-36 shortly after they were introduced and carried it for several years. At that time it was the only slim 45ACP pistol suitable for concealed carry. It is reliable, readily controllable and quite accurate. I still have it in the car. I found that I could not conceal it reliably...

    1911.. my most accurate one

The triggers on 1911's can be very finely tunes as can be the slide/barrel fit for accuracy. That is why they are used in bullseye pistol competition. I shoot several 1911's in competition but prefer the striker fired pistols for self defense/personal protection. I also shoot striker fired...

CCW opinion Glock 26 vs RIA 1911

I shoot several 1911's in competition in 9mm, 40 S&W and 45 ACP where their crisp triggers are a plus. However, for concealed carry/self defense purposes I will not use a handgun with an external safeties or exposed hammer. In times of stress one should concentrate on the subject matter at hand...

    PARA Customer Service is awesome!!

My PO's are ca. 5 to 10 years old. The 18-9LDA is the newest. My 45 feeds LSWC as well as FMJ ammo. In. The 40 I have used truncated cone bullets as well as JSP. In the 9mm I only have used RN and JHP bullets.

    Anybody load .32 H & R mag?

I have used Bullseye, American Select and Trail Boss with 98 and 115 gr cast lead bullets. A fun plonking and plate shooting load.

    PARA Customer Service is awesome!!

I have never had a issue with any of my three PO guns, 18-9LDA, 14-45 Signature, 16-40 Limited. All have been reliable and super accurate.

    IMR 800 x hi skor

HS-800X has some impressive ballistics but it is absolutely the worst metering powder I have ever used. Years ago I purchased a keg for loading 28 ga shotsheel without heeding the store owners advice that it meters poorly. First ever shotgun squib loads. It took me a long time to use up that keg.

    .243 win & IMR-4831

Many, many years ago a friend and I purchased a 100 lb. keg of Hodgdon-4831 for 50 cents a pound. We used it for loading everything from 220 Swift/22-250 to 375 H&H. It is at it's best in high pressure cartridges.

Recoil of 1911 vs. polymer .45s

Recoil sensation is very subjective. However, I believe that the recoil from my full size S&W M&P45 is less than my 1911's.

    remington 22lr thunderbolt problem

I would not use Remington Thunderbolt ammo in revolvers unless you allowed the gun to cool after firing ca 25 rounds. I seriousy leaded a S&W K22 using that ammo. If you allowed the gun to cool between shot stings it proved to be reliable and accurate.

    Questions on 9mm brass

With the low pressure cartridges such as 45ACP, 44 Special and 38 Special I reload until the cases start fraying at the mouth. With high pressure cartridges such as 9mm & 40S&W I scrap the brass after 4 reloads.

    Low power .223 fmj loads?

Try to get a copy of an old Lyman manual from the 1970'sw or DuPont data from about that time period. They would have data for reduced velocity loads using SR-4759 powder. You should also look at Hodgdon XMP-5744 which is used for reduced velocity loads. I don't know if Trail Boss would be...

    Smith & Wesson .357 8-shot thoughts?

I shoot the S&W PC 8 shot 627's in 38/357and 38 Super. S&W has recently announced the availability in 9mm. They are great guns in the competition world.

    Which polymer 45

I purchased the full size S&W M&P45 on a whime and have been vary favorably impressed both with it's relaibility and accuracy. It has functioned flawlessly with 185-200 ggr LSWC, 185-230 gr. plated, FMJ and JHP's and at 50 ft I get nice tight 10 shot groups of 1 1/4 to 2 inches. It might not be...

Why is it so hard to find a good 1911 mag?

I don't understand the problem. Metalform magazines have always worked for me. The Novak/Act Mag magazines also function flawlessly.

    Kahr MK9

I shot a friend MK-9 before I purchased my PM-9. That MK-9 was reliable and very accurate. I opted for pocket carry and the plastic framed PM-9 made more sense.

    New to shotshell reloading

I have used the MEC presses. I have the MEC 600 Jr in 410, 28, 20, 16 and 12. I also have the MEC progresive grabber in 16 and 12. For a while one could obtain bargain basement 12 ga loads at such prices that it really did not pay to reload standard 1 oz loads. I load 3/4 oz 12 ga skeet loads...

    Benj Marauder & hand pump

I shoot an FX Royale 400 which has a 400cc air reservoir. It takes me about 125-150 pumps to go from 130 to 220 BAR. The Marauder has a significantly smaller reservoir so the pumps required should be fewer.
