    Shooting somebody else's ammo?

ribbonstone: Your reasoning is seriously flawed. The only load that you KNOW was safe was the one that you shot safely. The fact that you load 10,000 good rounds doesn't mean that round 10,001 won't be bad. (Unless, of course, you convinced a guy named "Jesus" to pull the handle for you on...

    ccw Florida question

Preferring to assume that the threadstarter was looking for legitimate information and not trying to "bend the laws," I'd have to say that it'd take a real lowlife prick of an l.e.o. to bust somebody who's seated properly in a restaurant, when that person walked near the restaurant's bar on the...

So you shot someone in self defense....

Guntalk: How about pointing out ANY state that permits a District Attorney to have a private practice? I don't think you'll find any. However, you are in Louisiana, and I suppose those kinds of conflicts-of-interest might be commonplace. (Just reflecting on the integrity of the public...

    .45 ACP brass length

Yeah, this is a little off-subject, but perhaps not. Got a divorce once. Outstanding trial lawyer cousin of mine was going to represent me free. I found out pretty quickly that spending a little money on a non-relative lawyer served me better. :) I was being grilled in a deposition by my...

MACs: misunderstood, slandered, but fun as hell!

Actually, I'd suggest that you put both your hands on a quality firearm, which, of course, the newer, fake MACs aren't. If you can get your hands on a real MAC, made in Powder Springs, GA, with a real can, then you'd have something that at least would do what it was designed to do. I've...

    Glock is missing something..

Old Fuff, my response was meant as a compliment. I'm sure, after running a business that's made so many pistols, he DOES think like a gun-maker. He initially, though, was a businessman making a living in injection molded products, who was smart enough to hire a bunch of excellent designers to...

    Most accurate .308 UNDER $1000

If you're determined to spend $1000, try to find a deal on two Remington VSs.

    Glock is missing something..

I believe that Gaston, in reality, thinks like an expert in injection molding and a businessman who's smart enough to hire folks who think like gun-makers. :)

    .45 ACP brass length

One thing a guy who's SERIOUSLY O/C doesn't need is a psychotherapist who only charges $100 per hour...kind of like having your life in the hands of a $100 per hour attorney. :)

    Glock G19 package

Can't understand the "special" deal of only getting one mag. Glocks typically come with either two or three mags.

    Glock is missing something..

Lonewolf Distributors is currently offering a G20 longslide and has a G21 longslide in the works. Hope you REALLY want a longslide, @ nearly $600 just for the slide, without barrel. :)

    Wal-Mart Ruger 10/22 question

ThinBlackLine: I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks your little anecdote is not only inaccurate but not very well thought-out. :)

    .45 ACP brass length

Just a wild guess, but I'm betting that a few minutes with a competent psychotherapist would save you many years of future grief!

Newbie question. Do I need a case tumbler?

Wonder if that Lime Away contains ammonia? If so, that's baaaaad for the brass! I'll stick with a tumbler. Only one kid in college, and he graduates in May. Law school's $30k per year, PLUS room and board; thank heavens for scholarships! :)

SA's new XD catalog: Making fun of Glock's grip angle

Glock's share of the handgun market....making fun of the XD!:) Just kidding, guys. The XD'll probably work out o.k., after they start finishing ALL their pistols with (surprise) Melonite (another name for Tenifer).

If you were going to buy an AR-15...

If you're looking for a complete rifle, it'd be hard to beat the Rock River. I shoot a Bushmaster, but might have picked a Rock River with chrome-lined barrel, had they been available when I bought the Bushy. FWIW, ALL Bushmaster barrels aren't chrome-lined. :)

Got a problem with the law.

Hmmm. Sounds like pointless hysteria, to me. Read the law first, then get upset if it adversely affects you.

    Shot an XD 45 today.

Learn more about polymer pistols; try some others; you'll find that they, in fact, generally handle recoil better than their steel-framed counterparts.

Amount of pressure required for crimping

LHB1: I have a bunch of Lee handgun dies. Don't have any where the bell is adjusted by a "center stem." I'd strongly suggest that the guy read the instructions that came with his dies. How about posting some pics of those "center stem" Lee belling dies? Maybe I've been missing something all...

    please explain "+P"

I've never seen a gun "marked" +p. Would like to see a photo of such. Glocks, for example, certainly are rated for +p, but there's no "mark" to that effect on a Glock. Same is true for the XDs and just about every other +p rated handgun.
