    WST for light 357 loads?

I recently purchased a 77/357 and had it threaded for a suppressor. I've been feeding it full power loads since I got it, but I'd also like to shoot some subsonics through it. That said, I don't have any powders that are ideal for 38 special loads, but I do have ~7lbs of WST that I keep on hand...

    Leupold VX3 vs Sightron SIII

Hey Guys, I've just completed building a new Savage/Shilen .260 Remington build, and I'm looking to top it with some new optics. It will primarily be a bench gun spending time at 100-700 yards, but may see 1-2 white tail trips a year. I'm looking for something in the 6-20ish power range...

Glock 17 Trigger. Is this normal? (Pics)

Hey guys, I just got back from the range after putting 400 rounds down it. The Glock shot very well, and the lightened/smoothed trigger made all the difference with my groups. I did have a few instances of FTE, and the slide not holding open on the last round. I suspect thats just because the...

Glock 17 Trigger. Is this normal? (Pics)

I'm taking it back out this morning. We'll see what happens. I'll use mags loaded with just two rounds to avoid anything stupid. If after 100 rounds I'm not having any problems, I'll start loading them up. Thanks guys!

Glock 17 Trigger. Is this normal? (Pics)

Good thought Gloob. I'm not sure. I thought I was generous on the polishing of that point. I think I'll pick up one of those Glockworx alum triggers w/ attached trigger bars. It's something I've wanted to do, and it would make me feel better about it. At least at this point it's down to a...

Glock 17 Trigger. Is this normal? (Pics)

It's poking out. I'll try to find my camera charger to take a short movie. Thanks for your help by the way.

Glock 17 Trigger. Is this normal? (Pics)

GlOOB, Thanks for the response. I was sure to replace the pin that goes into the rear grip so I think I'm good there. I also don't think it's the disconnecter because I've replaced it with the ghost connector and had the exact same thing happen. I've also ensured that it's bent the appropriate...

Glock 17 Trigger. Is this normal? (Pics)

Hey guys, I just picked up my first Glock this past week at Cabelas. It's a Glock 17 RTF2. I've been a bench rest/target rifle shooter and reloader for a long time, but wanted to pickup a Glock before we eventually can't own these kind of things anymore. Being that I'm used to triggers in...

    Strange Problem with Walnut Media

The ring is not caused by case stretch. This is just a mark caused by the one-shot lube. It's basically where the case was run up into the die and the spot where the die stopped. It also doesn't help that the flash hit the case and overexposed it a bit. This is not lake city brass. This is one...

    Strange Problem with Walnut Media

Gentlemen, I've had a weird problem as of late concerning flitz brass polish and Walnut media. I also use Hornady One-Shot spray. I've noticed that when resizing cases I get a walnut "crust" that comes out from the mouth of the case on the down stroke. This eventually builds up inside the...

    Ruger Blackhawk .357 mag

I purchased a 6.5" .357 Blackhawk for my first revolver and it's plenty accurate. I've shot a few thousand handloads from mine. Mine seems to like H110 and 158gr Hornady XTP's, I'd love to see what this would do out of a machine rest because I know it's much more accurate than I am. The...

    True-to-life AD

I'd take that trigger off and strip it down all the way. Clean it out and put it back together. I'd be suprised if the sear was actually worn down. To me it sounds like a problem with the sear spring or a problem with the other spring that controls pull weight. Edit: Try removing the safety...

Can an AK 47 really be used effectively out to 1000 yards?

I doubt that many people on this forum could hit a man size target at 1000 yards with an AK-47 (7.62) given 100 rounds of ammo. First off, the rifle is 3-4MOA at 100 yards. That means that if you were to erase all wind factors, magically assume the round is still super-sonic , mount the rifle...

    Howa 1500 Rifle?

That rifle is the exact same action as the Weatherby Vanguard and the same as the Smith & Wesson 1500. I'm sure it will be a good shooter. I would however be VERY suprised if that stock was a McMillan, or even an HS Precision for that price. If it is, thats the deal of the century. From what...

What rifle and pistol cartridges can be reloaded the most?

I've got a 357 blackhawk that I've put over 3k rounds through (bought new last year on 3/27/06) and I'm still using the original 100 cases I purchased. I've had 3-4 go to splitting the neck. Just keep them trimmed and you will be fine.
